There will be some if we get Burchnall in as head coach. He's failed elsewhere so don't know why we're even considering him. Hope not because he's out of contract.
They are considering, and actually it is the head of football who will choose, because the head will want someone he can influence as part of the job.
Interesting point though is that he really is a coach not been much of a manager. Now, let me see, how many of you will see the similarity of him and coach hamshaw? He was not favoured on here either. The club will not mind a coach turned manager. The head of football is too.
But on that specific point, don?t you think the fact that a new coach will have someone above him on the football side, while Hamshaw did not is a massive difference and potentially for the better? You can?t really equate a coach operating under McLaren with Hamshaw attempting to fill a managers job.
Whose going to pick the side McClaren or the head coach? Looking to me the latter won't be the manager more the assistant.
Some people's inside knowledge of how things will work is very impressive.
I think whoever SM brings in and how it operates we need to see how it plays out, the recruitment will be interesting and how we decide to play will tell us more than a name announced in a press release. We need proper footballers on that pitch not the unreliable crap that Hamshaw put out, we need a L2 John McGinn and a Morgan Roger’s (55 games this season and still wanting to play more). Availability is the most important attribute for a player.
