Funny you should say that.Originally posted by swaddon2 View Post"Meet the new boss, same as the old boss".
We got a new overall boss this year at work and I had him down as a c*nt as had dealings with him when he was finance director.
He came over from the US and clearly had been briefed to go on a charm offensive with us plebs, which had me out in the cold with my view on him.
4 months later and the mask is slipping and I'm not out in the cold so much.
I don't think it will take four months for the Son of a Toolmakers mask to slip and his inner Tory will be very clear for the blinkered to see.

Spooky said this almost word for word in conversation with someone earlier tonight.Originally posted by TheDeeDon View PostI mind the excitement of getting the Tories out in 1997, but nothing like that this time around and I'd say the past 14 years have been worse than 79-97 Tory years. At least there was still fight left in people and a hope of change back then.
There will be some schadenfreude, some relief but don’t imagine any actual excitement.
I wondered if it was as much age that has worn me down. I kind of hope so, hate to think of the young ones feeling like this.

So we all wide awake in anticipation that today will see the end of 14 years of tory rule and knowing tomorrow we will awaken to a further ?? years of Tory rule.
I reckon Labour will win a majority, but still think that Reform will impact the vote in someway. (by the way, their Aberdeen North candidate is a rabid hun) Whether that is wiping out the tories completely and giving Labour more seats or winning tory seats I'm not too sure.
I used to love election days and stay up all night to watch the counts, but I just don't give a f*ck anymore.
I had the Labour candidate at my door the other day. I told him I would never vote Labour or any unionist party, but I did ask him what the Son of a Toolmaker stands for. He smiled, turned and walked back down the driveway.

Aye, the Labour mantra. Quite a simple one really, vote for change without saying what will be changing, bar the person in number 10.Originally posted by Donanddusted View PostIt's all about CHANGE.*
*Details available upon request. Probably.
Not one piece of substance from either of the two main partied and still the majority believe it's the best we can get and will vote for them.
F*ck it's depressing.

I don't read the paper, but someone shared a Daily Fail article written by a Tory politician called Daniel Hannan. He is also supposedly a journalist.
Still blaming the so called mess that Labour left in 2010 for today's mess.
14 YEARS they have been in power and in charge of the purse strings.
Also, Brexit didn't give the NHS an extra £350 million a week, it was near £700 million a week! They should have got a bigger bus apparently.
Folk actually pay to read such shyte and actually believe it.
