  • Anyone working in one of those professions would be entitled to criticise a government policy on their own Twitter account.
If they criticised their workplace that would almost certainly be an issue for their employer.
Your conflating the payment of taxes with free speech again.

We disagree about his stance but I'm fine with that as that's what free speech is about.

Now, when are we going to have a permanent manager in place?

Free speech the company policy is not to make political statements. He’s more than happy to accept the pay then he has to follow that policy.

Perhaps we could offer the managerial role to Gary we could probably entice him by telling him since Scotland has its own Govt we’re ab offshore heaven.

Ah humanitarian the new buzzword. You’ll have to give me the examples of the statements when the policy hasn’t been applied equally.

            • Mary Berry (sugar tax), Michael Portillo (political column in a newspaper), Nadia what's her name off bake off (the bombing of Syria) Hugh double barreled that does the country cooking show (Green Party activist), Karen Brady (menopause, protected charactaristic.......or not)......... for starters.

All have spoken publicly on political issues, not sure if any of them ever got suspended.....don't remember reading about it.

You'll notice some are reactionary, some are pinko, tree huggers.

Maybe they were suspended and I missed it.

Maybe they have less twitter followers.

Why don’t you tell us if your saying that is being allowed whilst Gary’s being treated so poorly.

I'm saying Lineker does not appear to have enjoyed the same treatment as other BBC wage earners.

Its weird how certain people find pejorative connotations in the most innocuous of words.
"Humanitarian" and "social justice" are two that immediately spring to mind.
