Maybe longer term however don’t see the events of the last week / few months being positive for the SNP in general.Originally posted by stewarty27 View PostWhere do you start with the deeds of Murrell and his cohorts ? I'll need to get back to that. But today is a good day for Scottish Independence.
Today was just another opportunity for the media to play up how much the SNP are in chaos.
The next General and Holyrood elections will be interesting

It's time to congratulate the SNP.
Since their inception in.....when, pre the war wasnt it?.....they've wanted to graduate from protest movement to mainstream political party.
They're now indistinguishable from the morass.
Well done.
The problem is, they're always going to be the best, indeed only, avenue by which Scotland can get out from under Westminster.
This carry on, and the post Sturgeon era in Scottish politics, will be manna from heaven for the Unionist media.
Those in the pro-independence camp need to ask themselves why the Unionist media went after Sturgeon so hard (and with subtitles for the hard of thinking).
An independent Scotland is inevitable, sadly it won't be happening in my lifetime though it will happen.
The UK is a busted flush.

I'm lucky in that I gave up following politics around 2010, but even before then I gave no fu cks to any party machine and how they operate.
I'll still cross the SNP box on future election ballot papers, as like you have said our only way out the ****hole which is the UK

I'm in a similar boat re:the actual "politics" of government/governance.
I'll vote SNP as that is the best mechanism towards achieving independence, even if WeeFree Kate is heid honcho. (Is there a chance she could bring the "socially conservative" demographic to the movement?)
Post independence, hopefully a new, grown up politics will evolve in Scotland and at that stage I'd hope to become more engaged (if I'm still here).

I’m not wrong though. If the intolerant dinosaur denier wins, then the Alba mob should come running back? They should in theory have nothing left to have the hissy fits about. They’ll have a socially& fiscally conservative leader, who hates gays & trans folk. That’s what you all wanted.Originally posted by stewarty27 View PostRagin
None of them will though. They’ll just move onto the next thing the Bath based ballsack tells them to be angry about.

“ gays, trans”
“gays, trans”
Fückin wänker.
But no doubt my opinion has been manipulated by someone I’ve never heard of who lives in Bath.
The only time that I’ve ever ever heard of him is through one of Mason’s rants and even as I write this I can’t remember what the guy’s name is.
But no doubt that will only prove the power he has over me.
As I said “ Fückin wänker”Last edited by donsdaft; 19-03-2023, 12:54 PM.

Mason's explanation is basically that there's a flying saucer full of little green men, hovering just out of sight, who have the world enveloped in their thought controlling rays.
Now Mason is immune to these rays and is the only person left on earth who is capable of independent thought.
Unfortunately, because the rest of us are under the influence, nobody believes anything he says.
But of course, he's right and everyone else is wrong.
He's thinking of changing his name to Cassandra.
