Allan McGraw. Ex Morton player and Manager.
I remember reading that McGraw was almost crippled and needed two walking sticks by the time he was in his late 30s, caused by repeated steroid injections in his knees during his career in the 1960s, before the risks of doing this to players became known.

I remember that too and was my first thought when I read he died.
I remember him using the sticks when he managed them years ago.

            • Was just discussing Duncan in the context of APA the other night in relation to ex-copper Alex Nicol’s chainsaw financial vandalism yesterday. Sad to hear of his death. A great leader and cultural visionary.

Tonight I hear that Wayne Shorter’s committed GBH on his reed for the last time. I don’t think a month’s gone by in the past 30 years when I haven’t given Speak No Evil a spin. https://youtu.be/k2Mxud6LeQ8

I saw him perform in Edinburgh once, magnificent.

He was probably worth a bob or two.
