How long until the media/Sol Campbell mentions the lack of black managers in the league. Houghton was always the poster boy for black managers.

He will surely get a gig somewhere

I can understand why Brighton got rid of him despite him getting them up then keeping them up, as the slide over the last 6 months has been poor. Sometimes a change at the top is needed just to frsshen everything up and get a new approach.

He is a good manager and he will undoubtedly get another job soon, probably high end championship

I think it would merit an offshoot thread

Charlton Athletic giving Curbishley the dunt. They never recovered. A fresh approach doesn't always work. Hughton will get something at the start of next season when the chairmen get trigger happy.

            • I have just been on the Blyth Spartans website (heading to a friendly v Stranraer). I notice they have employed a new manager

Lee Clark. He left the Kilmarnock a year and a half ago to Join Bury. Got sacked after 8 month and is now in the 6th tier of guffball.

His career has panned out well

I saw that. Was our leader not linked this time?

Schrodingers McInnes. He’s the best since Fergie but too ****e to be offered another job.

                    • Looks like he's missed out on the Juventus job too

Nobody rates McInnes except our chairman and a few happy clappers

                        • Kilmarnock have appointed Angelo Alessio, former assistant to Antonio Conte at Chelsea, Juventus and Italy, as the club's new manager.

Kilmarnock appoint an Italian with a good CV. It will be interesting to see how he gets on.

I suppose the Third best team in Scotland has some ambition....unlike our w@nkpot of a Chairman.

                            • Must have been a Clarke recommendation.

                              • It's an odd one. He'll have to be able to get the best out of a bunch of misfits, there's not many managers that can do what Clarke did. 3yr deal as well.
