Not sure if you noticed that Plymouth are bottom of League 1 and 5 points adrift of safety.

It wont be Derek Adams who replaces McInnes when he leaves, Adams has found his level which is League 2 in England.

Hes as much of a safe bet as Mixu Paatelainen or Ray McKinnon would be.

I take it back. Just read Mcinness response to questions at todays presser. If they come calling, and it seems they will, he is gone. I am convinced if he gets the offer he is leaving. Now to sit back and watch the goings on over the weekend. Can't believe the hun see DM as a top level manager.

He ticks a lot of boxes, is relatively low risk. Will certainly ensure they are up into 2nd place next season (may even do it this season) as we will no doubt end up with a poorer management team.

No manager will get Rangers as strong as Celtic within 5 years.

Having said that Celtic are only as good as long as Brendan Rodgers is there and should he leave over the next year or two then there is a very good chance that Celtic could become weaker also coinciding with Rangers getting stronger.

I cannot believe that some folk think getting rid of McInnes would be a positive step.

Its not just about McInnes the manager, its a combination of him as a person, the success and the subsequent benefits of that, his attention to detail behind the scenes and the winning mentality and a real sense of purpose in all departments at the football club he has developed.

Its perhaps by accident that McInnes came at a time when Rangers and their successors were weak, but its the responsibility of Aberdeen Football Club to ensure that it can have no part in their revival because there is more at stake here. Lose him and appoint another dud and there is more to loose than league positions.

Ticket sales are up, sales in the shop are astronomical compared to a few years ago, kids are back at todders in huge numbers, community engagement (which remember costs money) is up and the most important of all the support for the blue filth is at an all time low in the North East. No kids or their gullible parents buying their merchandise as its back to the old thing of no one wanting to be associated with failure.

Give that filthy corrupt organisation the chance to flourish and it could have amazingly disastrous consequences.

Its refreshing that my second son is growing up in a more or less hun free environment at school. Roll back a few years and it wasn't the case. With even more choices for kids these days a potentially strong filth would be a disaster for the potential future generations of potential dandies.

Its a pivotal moment in Scottish football and given everything that's happened in the last few years hand back momentum to that nest of vipers and we might as well all pack up and head to Spain Park of a Saturday.

I like this post. It's how I see the situation. I don't know if DM is going or not (none of us do) but no one can deny that the club is in a much better place than about 5 years ago. A lot has changed on the field and off it since he was appointed manager. The latest adventure in Europa was a downer but the Europa runs before that can hardly be classed as a disappointment imo.

We need to remember we are 10 games in and only 3 points behind the league leaders. We really are a collective bunch of depressing sods up here in the NE.

I think he’ll be off given the chance and I’ll be gutted. There’s always a chance we’ll get someone as good or better but it’s a minute chance. He’s been the best manager we’ve had in a generation. Ok, with competition like McGhee, Calderwood and Paterson, it’s not hard. Of course, he has his faults. He’ll make them stronger, there’s no doubt about that. Maybe I’m being negative but the guy has strong links to that team and I think if offered he’d find it difficult to knock back.

Unfortunately, McInnes, or any manager, cannot take AFC any further as long as Wiggy holds the purse strings.

I agree - don't know how you answer that question without causing more hassle for yourself.... "nah, not interested in them" equals headline "McInnes too good for the Gers" or some such. Cue much abuse.. so "Happy where I am" is safe. if he was angling for it - there would have been a bit more "there are always challenges elsewhere" type of comment
