Carlisle were away to Exeter today, needed to win to get into playoffs. They did. Now they have Exeter in the playoffs. So they have to do a 700 mile round trip twice in a week n a half. Sucks to be a Carlisle fan

    • Pleased for Smurn. I work in Paisley and my work does a bit of sponsorship with them. Went to the Raith game last week. Seems sh*te saying a 5k crowd was good, but that's where they are just now and they got the result they were well up for. The 4th goal is well worth seeking out if you haven't seen it. They do have a decent fan base and respect to the folk in the town that don't follow the cheeks. The pub beside my work was jumping the day. Their bus didn't leave until 1pm, hope they made it in time.

Only down side is there'll no doubt be pish/vomit/kebab or a combination of all three on the doorstep come Monday morning.

      • It better not be Adams. Anyway, McInnes will be here for a while yet, sevco can't afford him.

Yes they can't afford him but I genuinely think they didn't want him either. McInnes is at a crossroad at the moment... Win the Scottish Cup and his stock rises , get beat again by Celtic proves he is nothing special and will have pissed off a lot more fans and his stock will fall again.

Happy to see smurn to well too. My old man and uncles were buddies and i think it's admirable when people brought up in spitting distance of the cesspit hate them as much as i do and chose to follow their local team. They have been a reliable feeder club for us too and if they get promoted and we inherit their manager again that would be a result for me.

Funny, I was saying this the other day.

When Derek eventually leaves (which I hope isn't for a long time) Jack Ross could be a contender to replace him. In this short space of time he has really caught my attention-actually reminds me of McInnes. The job he has done there is seriously impressive.

Ironically McInnes is from Paisley too and , while i am happy for him to remain, his subs and tactics in the semi were a little confusing and if he did make way for Ross i wouldn't be heartbroken.

                        • Glad they got the point they needed to stay up. Got a little soft spot for them having been born there. Actually mind going to see them against Mechelen in Europe circa 87. Mind a crowd of over 13000 there for a league game against us once when that fat useless ******* Jimmy Bone ran through our defence from the half way line and scored.

                            • Pretty sure the Alamos gone now.

I've never met a Dundee Utd fan who wasn't a complete walloper. The opposite is true for St.Mirren. Any club that hates Morton is alright with me

Mechelen went on to the final that year but lost to Ajax
