To go for a pish at the Beach End in the late 60s/early 70s, there were a few sheets of corrugated iron nailed up between the ootside it on the neuk of that corner stand. There was some sort of rudimentary concreted gutter to collect the micturate which presumably soaked away into the grass bank.Originally posted by donsdaft View PostLast time I was there ( midweek league cup tie ) I was going to the bogs (real old school wall to pish against) when two dons fans were coming out complaining loudly about having nowhere to wash their hands
Sink? Pah.
Tap? Quines’ behaviour.
Hand-washing? Poovery.
Then a call in by the pie shop on the way back.

He apparently had a better record than the last two managers. He's foreign though so let's blame him. Especially since Broadfoot didn't rate him.Originally posted by Br0chred View PostYes interesting there is blame trying to be attached to him when he was punted ages ago, in fact it's so long ago I can't remember when he was sacked! And weren't Killie round about 7th long after he left so how the F can he ben blamed.

Read the bit on the BBC website about Killie. FFS, he left half way through last season with them nowhere near relegation???? It wasn't as if he was like Stubbs at St Mirren and bought in a pile of shyte players and was then binned, leaving them with no options. There's been loads of time to not get relegated. Like saying that goal Lewis punched into the ned v the hun is Langfield's faultOriginally posted by Aldo1983 View PostHe apparently had a better record than the last two managers. My first ever Dons game was at Somerset Park April 1974Originally posted by 57vintage View PostI’ve never made it there, but from TV coverage in the 70s (when the dead*******s and their green besties were the visitors, obviously) it looked like a great ground. I watched quite a bit of the second division (‘the Championship”, FFS...) when the Honests were trying to trip up the Jutes and Shankland stopped playing for Ayr by going in the huff, and it looked like it hadn’t changed a bit. Proper Mannies’ park.

Yes they could have but opted to bring on two other subs in the last minute of extra time that took the first two penalties in the shoot outOriginally posted by RED_JOHN View PostI never seen the match but could they have not subbed the keeper for the one that can save some penalties?
