Our biggest problem is that we don't have any good strikers, or even mediocre ones. Clarke can't be blamed for that.

He can’t be blamed for that but he’s reverted to Scottish manager’s mentality tonight and shat it against them like we usually do against the cheeks.

Made a mistake in persisting with Porteous who is fine against lesser nations I suppose but he’s a mistake waiting to happen.

Not Clarkes fault but Robertson was poor like he usually is in the big games for Scotland.

It was only a friendly I suppose but if he had a go at them from the beginning instead of sitting off it could have been a different game.

            • England do have an excellent attacking line up. The loon Bellingham being the pick of the bunch.

At least the side show is over with now and we can get back to proper fitba.

              • Don’t like Porteous but thought he had a decent enough game. Looked a bit vulnerable with the ball at his feet compared to those around him, but played well enough. What you wouldn’t give for one or two of their attacking players.

                • Kyle Walker put on the best display from a full back I’ve seen in years. It was perfect.

Don’t know if it counts, given the quality of opposition but fair play to him

                    • A nation that gave the world Bernard Sumner, John Cooper Clarke, Steve Beaton & Paul Mason can’t be all bad.

                      • "all bad"?

                        Far from it.

Out of 50 million, only 45 million of them are wānkers.

                        Royalist brexit bästards.

England did play well last night,it looked as if their players were fired up for the game and our players wilted.

They do have an excellent attacking line up but their biggest issue is their manager.

Once they meet one of the bigger nations in the Euros he will revert to type and set them up defensively because he will be concerned what the opposition will do to them.

A bit like Clarke did last night.

Scales started too last night. I suspect he will now certainly be out of our price range.

Pity, I thought he was a tidy player, but we should never borrow players from those c*nts again.
