Both der Hun and the green filth don't realise that having the referees on their side in Scotland actually weakens them when playing in Europe.Originally posted by Br0chred View PostWatching the hun, can this ref be shipped in for the cup final. Some decisions against Aris but weird to see a game when the hun don't get 90% of the decisions
They can't accept on the European stage they are just minnows.

A cracking game on the BBC tonight.
Raith 4 Partick 3.
Raith two up and Thistle then go score three, only for Raith to hit a further two.
Two teams really going for it and the Raith win saw them go top of the league, taking over from the Jute.

He's in the course of serving a decent apprenticeship, but his previous spell at St Mirren is a worrying blot on his CV.Originally posted by Mason89 View PostRaith have an experienced manager who plays good football, tends to get his teams punching & would be fairly cheap.
I seem to recall it was short and pretty disasterous.
Managers learn from experiences like that but I think I'd be more comfortable having seen him have some success at a bigger full-time club before having him at the Pitt.

I think if we did go for another young, lower level manager, I would prefer to have an older experienced head at the club to give guidance when needed.
Maybe an appointment like Strachan would be good.
Did Murray not play for the deid club?

Hopefully they'll be treating it the same way we will be as a training exercise for fringe players...starting line-up to include - Williams, Or Dadia, Gueye, Doohan, Barron (unfortunately), Morris (please).Originally posted by swaddon2 View PostEintracht Frankfurt beat Bayern Munich 5-1 today.
That doesn't bode well for Thursday.

They might fancy the £500k on offer for a win.Originally posted by dons8321 View PostHopefully they'll be treating it the same way we will be as a training exercise for fringe players...starting line-up to include - Williams, Or Dadia, Gueye, Doohan, Barron (unfortunately), Morris (please).
Not to be sniffed at.
Quite sure we would have been well up for a win if we didn't have the final on the Sunday.

Their manager has already said he will not be playing any of his key players against us - they have Leverkuesen (league leaders) away next Sunday so both teams will play shadow teams. I fully expect a very boring, low key, no tackle match - put your money on 0-0Originally posted by dons8321 View PostHopefully they'll be treating it the same way we will be as a training exercise for fringe players...starting line-up to include - Williams, Or Dadia, Gueye, Doohan, Barron (unfortunately), Morris (please).

I'd imagine that their second string players will want to prove that they should be in the first team.Originally posted by Red Zone View PostTheir manager has already said he will not be playing any of his key players against us - they have Leverkuesen (league leaders) away next Sunday so both teams will play shadow teams.
