In happier news, for Hearts, the chase is over. They will be in the bottom six.
      That's like saying you're not 4th?

      • Hmmm, 5th is certainly not 4th. Nor is it 3rd or 6th. Indeed there are quite a few things it?s not. Animal, vegetable or mineral for instance. Or indeed ?not the winner?. As in ?not the winner of any European trophies? to pick an example at random. Shall we set up a separate thread just to cover this interesting philosophical thread of all the things 5th is not?

          • Hibs pumped Dundee's top team 4-0 today, which makes third place for us more difficult, depending on how kindly the post split fixtures fall for us.

            • Falkirk got done by Raith yesterday and are now only three point ahead of Livi, albeit with a better goal difference.
Watched a bit of Livi v Ayr on Friday night and don't want to see that abomination of a pitch up next season. Martindale has done a good job with them to be fair. I thought they may have dropped down the leagues further.

I think I am right in that it is from season 2026, plastic pitches are banned.
Falkirk need to get their finger out and get the league won.

Barry Robson has got Raith outside the play off spot on GD and their final two games are against Morton and Hamilton. Partick I believe have Livi and Ayr for the run in.

Haven't got an issue with Partick coming up either though.

              • Were Falkirk not 11 clear at one point? I know they have a history of collapsing but that would be crazy.

Martindale does actually seem decent (at that level anyway) but no desire to see Livvy up either.
Was struck yesterday how much Chritchley looks like him with hair.

                • The idea o' Livi bein' back in the top flight is vomit inducin' .... Ah seriously hope that a) Falkirk hold on tae the auto-promo, and b) St Johnstone an' Dundee up their game at the expense o' Ross fkn County, and one o' the two stick Livi back in their box via the play offs (assumin' RC get that far).

                  • The less plastic pitches, the better.

                    • I thought Falkirk?s pitch was plastic?

Only more season of that nonsense in any case.

                      • St Mirren have sold their striker Olusanya, to some team in the US of A.

Considering he usually scores against us, it must surely make our chances of winning at Love Street* that bit easier.

*I can't remember their new stadium name.

Agree it's good that he's gone but Robinson will have them set up like second half hearts and pump long balls at our defence - who have proven a bit of a liability to this tactic - and they'll have two big lumps of wood willing runners as opposed to the tortoise like weird foreheed, which will still cause us plenty problems. Still it's a game we need to win and I'm sure we can if the players apply themselves

Of course they will still play the Robinson way and kick everything that moves and their players will feign injury from the first whistle. That's what they do

No doubt that when Olusanya played against us, he always played like prime Ronaldo (the proper one) the way he went past our defenders and scored/created goals.

Maybe poor Ruby will show his face back in Scotland again, now that he is gone.

It would be very sweet to get the three points at The Methadome.

                              • Probably not the right place for this, but

?Brendan Rodgers says Celtic's continued success "really isn't easy" ?

He should have a go at managing Ross County or the like. Pillock.
