  • I've always failed to understand* why Cove don't call themselves Cove Bay thereby being unique in Scottish Football.

    * The only plausible explanation I can come up with is that the club were set up by, and are still run by, Rangers supporters. In which case......

    • Don’t know if anyone else is watching the other semi, but it’s been pretty entertaining

I think they were formed in the early 1920s by Rangers fans in the Aberdeen area.
Played in the Aberdeenshire Amateur League until joining the Juniors in 1985.

          • The famous Aberdeen continue to be referred to in the third person plural by Richard Gordon in today’s Pîsh & Jism. Sakes min.

His local employer’s match today against Ayr United has been postponed. Yet another plastic pitch unable to meet the requirements. Fûcking amateurs. Perhaps that’s the level at which they should have stayed.

Great stuff .... Ah've kinda always had a 'soft spot for Ayr Utd ... dinna ken/remember why, but errrm ... did Sir Alex nae play for them? ... Ah seem tae remember a fitba card.

As for Sevcove? ... Ah was on the bus doon Wellington Road recently, on a Setterday, and hearin' the noise an' ****e comin' oot o' the cakeholes below the official club tammies wis enough tae mak me despise their club if Ah wisna already likewise predisposed.

Aye, he ended his playing career there.

Funnily enough, so did Ally MacLeod before going on to manage them on three separate occasions - and us.

                    • I watched Dumbarton play better football today, than I’ve seen from Aberdeen in a while. We need to accept pretty quickly how shyte we are & that the aim for this season is not to go down

                      • Darvel beaten away today at Arthurlie.

Doesn't make me feel better after Monday, just emphasising how bad that result was.

                        • English League two club, or the old division 4, Morecambe are on the verge of being taken over by a 20 year old entrapenuer.
The only thing I was focused on at 20 was getting my hole and Aberdeen winning the league.

That Dempster one will be the warpath.

They’re live on TV tonight, playing a maroon-clad Ayr United.

Fuucking Masons were well-cuffed too. Wanchors.

                              • Richard Gordonwatch latest: still referring to Aberdeen as ‘they’, but produces a Radio Glasgow diving heider into the top corner with, “There was much discussion over the early sending-off of Ross McCrorie, which clearly had a bearing on the outcome, but for me it was undoubtedly the correct decision. Ross threw out his forearm in what appeared to be a deliberate action and caught Dunne in the face; it was a red all day long.”

A man who’s beginning to look like less of a Red every week.

                                Just fücking stop it.

Good luck to Partick Thistle today.
