Since they bide on the edge of Queens Park, I’ve said that the Spiders would be an acceptable local team. The loon is, of course, obsessed with all things fauna and creepy-crawly and I’m sure he thinks that a visit to watch the Spiders would be an afternoon at Arachnid World.

I will continue to monitor the situation.
Surely rule No. 1 - Son should follow dad's team?

In the top flight, St Mirren are the only one ... dinna really ken why ... maybe Fergie, McDougal, Weir ... certainly nae Gallagher, Goodwin or Langfield.

In lower divisions tho, Ayr and Partick are in the aforementioned handful .... reasons? Nae idea ... prob historical, but memory fails me ... Oh ... except:

The loon’s dad has nae interest at all in fitba, or indeed sport. The loon himself is showing little interest, but says he like “the red team” since his other parent and his granda do.

I’m glad I didn’t follow my late Dad’s team (don’t ask), but my kids have taken up the Vintage baton with relish. I mind one of them got a mid-afternoon train hame from Edinburgh on a day we were at home to Deadclub, and I texted to ask if everything was OK on the twice-a-year 2 bus to Brigadon and had heard that there was trouble on King Street.

“I’m fine. Near the fire station on King Street and it looks like the huns are taking a bit of a pasting outside”.

I know how much it meant to you that your loon took the right path, and it still breaks my heart to think that you no longer have him by your side at Pittodrie.

                • Just caught up with yesterday's scores.

Cove . Nae really working oot so well for Hartley second time around. Shame!

Be so good to see both them and the joot go down.

                  • Actually, it wouldna be a bad thing if Cove survived, and baith the Joot and Ross Co. went doon.

The thought o' Joot playin twice at diddy Calder Park, instead o' Pittodrie, and travellin' hunners o' miles tae play Ross Co and ICT twice each ... bypassin' Aberdeen somehow entertains ma

                    • Ah, just wait a year, I'm sure the Jutes will get relegated again.

If I'm getting to choose who gets relegated then Dundee United and Kilmarnock please.

                          • Cove pumped and Arbroath winning away at Queens Park.

Hartley's coat must be on a shoogly peg.
