In fairness to him he was great with his kids team and very sporting.

I have never had the pleasure of facing Mark Kerr
More like he was lazy with his kids team if they didn?t beat your make believe 11.

    • This weeks P&J article about Ex-Dons, features Craig Brewster.

His career didn't tail off sfter he finished with us, unlike most others featured.

For some reason I thought he played for us longer than he did, but only played 7 games for us, before heading into management.

Was actually a decent read. Feels not getting into full time football until he was 26, pushed him into extending his playing career for as long as possible and felt privileged to play full time football.

Now helps develop kids for some non league club in England and runs an academy.

It was a good test for him. A good coach has a team working very hard and are well prepared for matches. Not everyone has these qualities. Could be the very reason I am quicker to spot things than the majority.

        • There was a Dons old boys reunion in Spain tonight as Duk's Leganes drew 1-1 with Miovski's Girona.

Only Duk made it onto the pitch, though.

A rare sighting. 6 sub appearances, no goals, no assists.
Only played 75 minutes in total and managed one shot in that time.

Miovski - only played 15 games in La Liga, 12 of them starts but been substituted 11 times.
            2 goals and 1 assist.

            Plus they can’t get rolls

Brewster actually played 16 times for us and scored 4 goals although most of his appearances were from the bench.

I forgot that he was 40 years old when we signed him, we probably should have tried to sign him him when he was younger because he done well for all the clubs he played for.

Did think seven didn't sound right, but he was used as a sub in the league 7 times.

Was a good signing for us. Was possibly one of our best players at the time, even at the age of 40.

According to the AFC heritage site, he made his debut in a 0-0 draw against Hibs and played his last game in a 3-3 draw against Hibs.

I am sure he scored for us against his shabby former employers in a victorious midweek game at Pittodrie which wound them up something rotten, but cannot find the detail. Not for the first time, of course, I could be typing utter intestinal waste of semi-solid consistency.

Thanks for spreading the word on the Heritage Trust - now a SCIO rather than a charity - as indispensible as the Clive Leatherdale volumes before abody got a computer.

                  • Ethan Ross on from the start for the Bairns against Partick Jags tonight, and Maroon loanee Finn Yeats on the bench.

Currently 1-0 Thistle as the Babies seem almost determined to screw up the title.

                      • This week's P&J article is about Brian O'Neil.

Claims he never wanted to sign for the Dons and asked Aitken and Tommy Craig not to bid for him.

Also claims he wasn't suited to the Scottish game, which I suppose is true enough with a few players.

Still the second most expensive player in our history.

                                Apparently they wanted him badly.

Must have been on a fair old wedge.

                                Did we sell him??
