        • League One Wigan are in pole position to land the midfielder who was left out of the squad to face Sheffield United on Saturday

Graeme Shinnie's move to Wigan Athletic has moved a step closer and it will cost the Latics just £30,000, Derbyshire Live understands.

The Rams midfielder was left out of the squad which beat Sheffield United at the weekend as his move to the Latics began to gather pace.

The deal is all but done for Shinnie who is free to leave the Rams on a free transfer at the end of the season when his current deal expires.

Administrators Quantuma have sanctioned Shinnie's exit having been placed in control of the club's finances as they battle to get a takeover deal over the line.

Cheers. I'll crack open an IPA or two as a wee prize to myself.

              • As far as I can see Stark and McDougall have both scored over 100 goals in the Scottish Premier and neither Wiki page mentions Scotland caps

I make it 79 goals for Frank McDougal in the Premier League. The rest of his 100+ goals were scored in the first division.

                  • He scored 79 against Celtic that day didn't he?

Wikipedia has him scoring 115 league goals for St Mirren between 1979 and 1984 when they were in the premier league.

                              • Worrying reference in today’s paper to Kevin McNaughton’ uncharacteristic disappearance yesterday, which caused concern among his family and friends. He has turned up, thankfully. I hope he’s given any support he might need, and that good old Kevin’s gonna be all right. Once a Red and all that.
