    • I see Calvin Ramsey has been called up to the full Scotland squad for an upcoming friendly.

      • Ramsay played the whole 90 minutes for Liverpool in a 0-0 draw against Derby in the League cup. Liverpool progressing on penalties.

Probably a Liverpool forum somewhere where they natives are this very minute writing how fecking shyte he is and wanting him sent back to Aberdeen.

        • Danny Ward in the Welsh squad for some imminent corrupt cup competition in Qatar.

My usual “if it’s nae the Dons or Keith, I dinna give a ****” attitude to inferior money-driven fitba meant that I had no idea that he now plays for Leicester Cify until I saw the Taffs’ squad list.

Reader comment in the Grauniad posted this morning: “. Calvin Ramsey (just 19) was probably man of the match in his first start since a long injury lay off and is quite a prospect; he also looked like he won't be found wanting in a challenge either, not a flimsy little technical full back by any means.”

What, however, might infuriate 57Vintage is that a reference to another exDon making his debut for the pool, Bobby Clark, makes no reference to either of his previous two clubs, Queens Park or the Dons, and in classic Grauniad fashion, misprints his age as 17 instead of 77.

            Typically EPL-centric.

Nice to read he got on well and good luck to him. If nothing else up from our game they will experience a more physical game than most EPL players have encountered and should stand him good stead.
Clarkson will probably benefit from it too.

              • Have I misunderstood here? The Guardian’s claiming that Clarkie played for Liverpool??? John Ogston signed for them but I don’t know if he ever made it to the first team.

Probably shyte, but linked with a move to Juventus.

11 years he was in that job. I doubt that will ever be repeated the way things are now.
