Don’t think Sokler and Gueye can do the business up front. Sokler maybe 10 league goals a season, not much more. Papa lucky if he scores more than 5.

    Still in Jimmy we trust
I think Milne will go on loan as can't see him getting a chance.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see much of our own loons getting a chance this season.

I think the way JT has us playing the goals will come from throughout the team, which is a good thing.

As you say. In Thelin we trust.

    • Excluding Miovski and presumably Duk we’ve already got a first team squad of 26.

(That’s including Boyd & Bavidge as listed as first team under website but no Stewart as he’s not).

      Seems overly high already.

That’s a lot of players not getting minutes to keep happy and not much space for kids.
I still think at least 3/4 will go out, maybe even more. Not sure Richardson even has a squad number?

In terms of actual squad involvement though last year and (very)rough equivalents

      Roos - Mitov
      Gartenmenn - Molloy
      Barron - Nilsen
      Hayes - Keskinnen
      Phillips - Palaversa
      Hoillett - Ambrose

We’re only really up in numbers due to the return of the three loanees - Richardson, Gueye, Besuijen. Duk and Miovskis numbers are filled by the two young loons.

We’re not up in number with proven quality.

And having said all that about too big a squad I’d STILL like cover for RB and an experienced striker.
I think we’ll still see one. Just a hunch but think Dave will go for it.

Exciting times to be a Dandy…

Edit: oh and I’m liking that it looks like we’ll have no room for loans

        • It looks like it's all over for Miovski at Aberdeen, according to today's press. £6.8 million is the figure being quoted.

Not a bad bit of business.

Not a bad bit of business for the club at all that.

I think it was more likely the scouting team that identified him as a target and Goodwin was the duty manager at the time.

If he was responsible for signing him he lost any kudos for signing Anthony Stewart AND making him captain.

Yip I can buy in to that DD.
Makes me feel a lot better than the very thought of giving that Naewin pr1ck any credit for anything positive that happened under his tenure, absolute gobsh1te of a man who should never have been anywhere near our club at any level.

                • Bojan has left the building.

                  it is now official.

Aberdeen receive a club record fee for striker Bojan Miovski, who scored 44 goals in 91 starts for the Dons, from Girona.

All the best to the loon.

                  • Ryan Duncan off to Queen's Park for the season on loan.

Loon needs games to get his confidence back.

Doubtful he will come back to us, but hope the move turns his fortunes around.

I fair thought he had enough about him to become a regular.

Hmmm .... interestin ( if true ) .... Decent strike rate, arguably better than Sokler, Gueye, Ambrose, might be a decent short term 'fix' while we get a better look at the aforementioned, and while it looks like Duk has abandoned his shirt.

As far as Ah can ascertain, we hae two promisin' young strikers in the shape o' Boyd an' Bavidge. Whilst Ah see the need tae establish a productive striker ... Ah'm nae sure aboot the balance between that an' developin' oor 'home grown'.

Aye aye Neeps, I personally think both me and you could be a better than Ambrose min.
But on the Nisbet story, I would not be against giving him a loan till Jan with a pre-agreement or something in place based on how he does between now and then on loan and in Jan we either buy him or bin him

                            • I have heard that Kevin Nisbet is supposed to be a pr1ck and a disruptive influence.

Apparently Hibs couldn’t wait to get rid of him and that’s why he’s been frozen out at Millwall.

A decent striker on his day but I would give that one a miss.
