      Sick of hearing about this.
The club aren't covering themselves with glory here.

You have to fear we are going down the Lennon route.
I'm choosing to see this as an entirely logical move. He was brought in to get us into the top six and still be fighting for a euro spot going into the last five games. With that dead in the water there's very little benefit in having an interim manager, when it should now be about preparing for next season. If we don't appoint one in the next week then fair enough, it's probably all *******s and not part of any coherent strategy. Like I said, I'm willing myself to believe for now that it's actually quite sensible.

Yeah, that was my immediate thought too! Hope to god not.

If it is, part of me wants to never watch the dons again. Another part of me wants to get onboard with it and give him my backing whilst he's here.

        But please no.

Yes, fearing the worst, but he might just improve us!? He’d end up being accepted by many, not all, and even loved by a few, if he does, I think.

The main issue with that is the question mark. He never improved Hibs, Bolton or his Cypriot club. Why would anyone think he could improve us? Besides, his behaviour in the past is not Aberdeen standard.

            • Could be shyte but there’s rumours flying around that it’s Michael O'Neill we are going for.

Did well at Northern Ireland the first time but that was a while ago.Doesn’t seem to have done much since?

Nae another ex-player. Although he was only at Pittodrie for a wee while.

                • A lot of places saying it is Michael O'Neil. He was supposedly the person coming in the summer, but all been brought forward with Warnock stepping down.

My only concern at the moment is three points on Wednesday night.

He had 3 years at Stoke after that saved them from relegation from the championship and then nothing spectacular, just lower half of the table mediocrity. No idea if they should have been doing better or if just keeping them there was an achievement. Did well at Shamrock Rovers prior to the national team job. All Wikipedia mind. Who knows? Are we really in a position to get in someone with a glittering managerial career or a perfect record?

Did O'Neil not do well at Brechin a good few years ago now?

I also mind him nearly getting the Hibs job a few years ago now, only to claim someone did a hatchet job on him by leaking stories about his drinking, which he didn't deny, but which cost him the job.

Stoke seem to be have been lower half of the table mediocrity in the championship since they got relegated from the Premier League. They don’t really look like they have the money to go for a promotion push and it doesn’t seem like O’Neill did any better or worse than the managers before or after him.

He did well at Shamrock Rovers like you said and also the Northern Ireland job the first time round so maybe he is a good choice.Sounds like Cormack has been a fan for a long time.

Apparently was Cormacks choice to replace McInnes when he went to talk to the Huns in 2017/18.

Oh great, another rummy. No thanks.

Plead with McInnes to come back and let's be done with it.

If there is any truth to shortlist I heard today everyone of them has a chequered past.

No manager with a decent reputation is going to touch us at the moment.
