    Totally agree with this.
Whilst Doc is doing a pretty decent job in his current gig at Dundee, there is now way he is stupid enough to come back to the dons and work for Cormack.

    • Jimmy Thelin is "out of the running" to be the manager.

If he was in the running in the first place.

Even if he was in the running at all.
We have dodged another bullet there if he is no longer in the running

        • Think you guys are safe - but only just. I'd rather have you relegated than Ross County.

          • We are close to announcing a new manager. Robinson has been mentioned and Aberdeen have spoken to him. I was hoping for something different from the normal Scottish league names but I will still back him.

            • Robinson's Wikipedia has been updated to show that he's the Aberdeen manager, and I believe everything I read on there, so welcome to the club. I hope you are more of a Fergie than a Goodwin.

              • I’m not overly keen on Robinson, it’s hardly an inspiring appointment. If it’s true I’ll back him but it’s not an appointment I’d get too excited about and it kind of defeats the purpose of hiring in this German company for advice if your just going to steal managers from other teams in the league.

                • Don't think it will be Robinson. I don't believe an SPL manager would come to us at the moment.

It would also be an uninspiring appointment after all this waiting.

I have a feeling it will be a overseas manager Dave goes for this time.

Just guesses on my part though.

                  • I doubt very very much it will be Robinson. If what I heard was true, given the fee St. Mirren wanted just for Aberdeen to speak to him then that's not happening. And that's before the compensation they wanted.

                    • Presumably they’re planning on hiring someone, as the coaching staff that are here are away in the summer.

That said, if the players want to form a socialist cooperative & start making training/team selections amongst themselves, I wouldn't be against it. Can’t be any worse

                          Better with Tony Robinson

At least he'd have a cunning plan!

                            • I’ll be pretty disappointed if it’s Robinson. Nothing against him & he’s done a good job at the buds this year - but its just yet another unimaginative, uninspiring and tediously predictable appointment from the usual Scottish managerial merry go round.

So exactly what we should expect really…

                                Exactly

Are we to believe that this is what the review, the one that was so amazing and informative brought to the table? A name that was always going to be in the running... If so, the review was a waste of time, as its produced nothing new.

They set themselves up for this with the review thing, bumming it up, all the top clubs blah blah blah...

If they then appoint someone who is predictably on the list would be horrendous imho (Lennon, Robinson, Hughes etc etc)

I genuinely expected something different, lets see if they deliver
