Robson took him in as a coach and he had a decent reputation when he joined.Originally posted by Shetland Don View PostThe current players seem to hold him in high regard. His period in charge and the recent run with him as coach have yielded great results. That may not be coincidental, though he was also involved in the previous set ups.
I don't think any of us wanted him as interim manager, but I think he won most of us over.
He took a squad of players who were really struggling and turned it around immediately. It was like night and day compared to what happened previously.
The cup semi at Hampden was one of the best games I have ever been at and I don't think we would have come back from behind twice in that game, if Robson or Warnock had been our manager.
Be good if he hung around a bit longer.

Leven's stats as (interim) Boss are impressive! However, not dismissing the cup semi v the green filth, ... nor his first interim job v same stench where he secured an unexpected league point, the bulk of his portfolio is against bottom six sides. Nevertheless, that 4-0 v Hibs, followed by 5-1 v Livi still raise a smile.
Altogether, I reckon he laid down his marker as a very capable Scottish club manager, He has earned my respect and admiration enough to hope he stays on with the famous .... but can understand if he needs to move on in order to move on up ... in which case I wish him nearly all the best. The 'nearly' will be plainly understood

I watched that semi on TV - Hoilett’s contribution too was immense for us in that game, as I recall.Originally posted by TheDeeDon View PostRobson took him in as a coach and he had a decent reputation when he joined.

*splutter*Originally posted by swaddon2 View PostJust looking at the stats there.
Jimmy has won more games than Stephen Glass (9 wins from 29 games), Jim Goodwin (11 from 35), Alex F*ckin' Miller (10 from 38) and just one fewer than Mark McGhee (13 from 53)
Unrealistic expectations, msm, eh?

I read that yesterday. The cynic in me thinks it may be because we play a game in Glasgow next weekend.Originally posted by Donanddusted View Post"WOLVES are tracking a man who is being dubbed “a modern day Sir Alex Ferguson”.
