  • I am at least trying to get the conversations going here as I am not LAZY.

I am up for hearing all your opinions of the Dons.

No point moaning about other posters who give a view about our team. A bit of input on the subjects is a better way to include yourself.
Beware though as you may get a response and i know it?s a bit much for some on here but grasp the opportunity to debate.

    • Conversation is good min ... but conversin' wi anybody needs a bit o' give, take, acknowledgement and appreciation o' their contribution. Conversation wi' a hardened flat-earther is pointless.

i have a rule about forum convos ... if someone disagrees with a post I have made ... I leave it be .... because what I state remains. It does not disappear simply because another refutes it ... and that's enough for me. No need to defend ... especially if my defence is simply to regurgitate what I have stated, and remains on record ... makes life easier, ken?

      • What happened to the Atlanta United tie up? Is that still a thing, I can't remember hearing anything about it for ages.

          • Not club news as such, but just heard that Gordon Reid has died.

Gordon was the excellent cartoonist involved in The Red Final.

They certainly don?t make it appealing to join or keep a hold of posters. It is getting worse. There is absolutely no need for making it this bad

                • Aberdeen have announced some pre-season games.

We will play against Ipswich Town on Friday 25th July at home. There will also be a game against Cove Rangers at their place on 12th July. One more fixture is to be confirmed on 19th July.

25th July, is the day I finish up for my summer holidays, so that is a very appealing game.

In Edinburgh the night before to attend Kevin Rowland?s book tour, and off south on holiday on the day of the game. I?ll leave it up to you boys to take care of things. I think some losers may even be out of Europe by then?

You don't mean the European Giants who haven't won a European tie since 1997?

I tend not to keep up with these minor footnotes' hubris-deflating failures, but I do believe they play a first leg Euro tie the night before the Mighty Dons play Ipswich, so there's every chance they could already have a goals-against situation beyond retrieval.

                          Which would be nice.

                              Yep, and lost the lot.

                              From Wikipedia:

"Following a 10 year absence from European matches, Dundee United qualified for the 2022/23 UEFA Europa Conference League third qualifying round, culminating in a 7:1 aggregate loss to AZ Alkmaar, matching the record greatest loss inflicted on a Scottish club in a European competition."

Another one for the "honours" board.

That was the one where there was supposedly near mutiny in the dressing room, with their then latest messiah, Jack Ross, leaving soon afterwards.

Has Goodwin ever been involved in European games??
