I dont believe that he has only signed for Hibs because they offered him a 4 year deal and we didnt though. I suspect they have made him one of their top earners and we werent willing to.
I was told Hibs had been interested in him last year snd just thought it was shyte.

I've also been told he will be on ?10k a week at Hibs.

No idea if that is true or not, but that level of wage for an above average SPL player is never going to be sustainable for clubs like us, Hibs or Hearts.

I can't believe he's went to Hibs for anything other than stupid money.

If playing for Hibs is the height of his ambition, then we need to aim for better.

Yep agree, they have been chucking silly money about for a while (?10k a week for Boyle etc) so Ive absolutely no doubt theyve overpaid considerably here too.

Its also their AGM tonight apparently, so this is a nice distraction from their horrendous financial numbers for the last year - ?7million plus losses in 12 months.

4 years is just too much of a gamble & commitment for a boy made of balsa wood.

The best ability is availability and he fails badly on that count.

Its Hibs hes joining ffs, if we really wanted to keep him, we would have kept him.

Im betting Jimmy T has the replacement lined up already - next.

If McGrath has managed to get Hibs to give him ?10k a week then fair play to him because he isnt worth that amount.

I would like to think we would pay a player ?10k a week these days but he would have to be a lot better of a player than Jamie McGrath is.

They'll have Boyle, Levitt and now McGrath on at least ?6k+ a week. Good luck to them

Just had email from the club about next seasons, season ticket prices.

They have announced a loyalty window, whereby existing ST holders can renew at last seasons prices by the 31st March.

After this date the prices rise and the usual early bird offer and so on, but nothing about the increased.
I have a feeling they might be steep, before they have announced this loyalty window.

Also the average age of a ST ticket holder has decreased from 48 to 41 years old.

Under 18s can claim half price season tickets in the RDS upper. I'm assuming this is new?

Full ST details for next season to be announced next week.

Affa early and seems odd not to announce the prices at same time.

Guess the Red Shed makes a huge difference to average age.
Would be interesting to see it without it. I’d have put it a lot higher!

                  Latest email about season tickets.

Auto Renewal. Club wanting folk to sign up for a Auto Renewal system to start from the 20/27 season. You will get 5% of the price back through Dons cash and will have a plaque on the back of your seat stating you are part of this scheme. That will appeal to a lot of our fans in the quest to be top, top reds.

I don't ordinarily sign up to auto renewal for anything and don't give a flock about being a top red.

There will be an option to cancel five weeks before the auto renew comes around in 2026.

General ticket update for next season to be out tomorrow and can't help but feel a steep price rise is incoming.

There's yet another grand plan for a new stadium, apparently.

There's an article in the P&J about it, but I'm too lazy to read it.

We should do a feasibility study.

In all seriousness though we have been bumping on about building a stadium for over 20 years. Just go and do it?.what a lazy club in that respect.
Tottenham built a stadium costing around 1 billion pounds but managed it. Ours will obviously be a hell of a lot cheaper than that so stop being half @rsed and get it done.

Aberdeen ARE the laziest club in Scotland

It's not as easy to just build a stadium.

We need to sell the old one, get the finance to build the new one, find a suitable site away from any NIMBYs (and public transport), get contractors to design and build it and so on.

We don?t need to sell the old one straight away. We have 2 sites as things stand. Contractors will be ready to go as well.
I am not fooled by our malaise regarding a new stadium. No one at Aberdeen FC can be @rsed doing this. Cormack has lost interest now and the fella looked a shadow of himself on Sunday (probably due to ill health). Milne won?t spend a dink and the other hanger ons are nobodies. The American investors we have know we are run by incompetence so it would be a difficult sell to convince them to invest a lot further.
We have the money but not the balls at Aberdeen.
The club will need to be run by someone with real go about them otherwise the stadium, team etc will just always be on the back burner.

Season Ticket pricing now out for next season. Overall I'm not doing too badly with buying my ticket at last seasons price.

If I split the cost of my ticket over 19 home games, it works out roughly as ?23/?24/?26 per game, from Loyalty to full price.

Overall I don't think it is too bad in the grand scheme of things.
