  • I see we are really tooling up for our preparation for the cup final but maximising our training sessions to 1.5 hours daily. Nobody staying behind to do extra practice.
The excuse of it only being Tuesday doesn?t wash with me. This could be the very reason the Celtic players find it easy against us. They would have easily doubled that training time at least.

And you know this for sure do you?...

Yes. I was in Celtic?s training facilities for a few days and that team trained for approximately 3.5 hours (including change etc). We could easily prepare better for matches ourselves. Take a leaf out of their book.

        • That will be one of the main reasons they are streets ahead of us football wise.
You lot thought I was joking when I said we train LAZY

I want Aberdeen to have the best manager in the country but Jimmy Turnip is miles off it. There is more of an argument that any other manager in our league with his budget would have us in a better place than we currently occupy.
I am positive that if Brendan Rodgers was Aberdeen manager and had the funds Thelin had been given he would easily have us higher up the table than where we are.
I don?t see the fuss for the Turnip. We have poor goalkeepers, poor defenders, poor midfielders and poor attackers. We offer no real threat from corner kicks or set pieces and only play the one way which is easy to read and play against (if you are a decent coach).
We might win the Scottish Cup but it will be like winning a prize draw because it will only be won out of luck. We aren?t going to win the cup by being better prepared than them. They are streets ahead of us in that respect. They definitely work harder than us and that cannot be argued against. It might register with the posters who refuse to look at what they see.
Have you changed your name to Red Turnip yet?

It cannot be changed and I certainly would have changed it

                • Well, it's been 16 days since he last won a cup, so if Postecoglu at Tottenham is anything to go by, then Jimmy will be getting the dunt today.

                    Don't encourage the Turnip!

I will give Jimmy until the next transfer window….i have been extremely generous after his Scottish cup win since I am grateful for seeing this again.
After this window he will fully have his strong identity and playing staff so there is absolutely no excuses.
For the record I want the guy to do very well. He is very likeable but football is about getting results. Aberdeen need to be winning and giving themselves opportunities to get more trophies.
A league trophy won’t go a miss. The 2 from Glasgow are extremely boring with their bickering and pretend hate for each others club. They dive in bed together though to keep the rest at bay.
What i would give to give them both a bloody nose!

                      • That is fully his squad of the players he wants and it is not looking good. Bottom of the league and not a single goal scored.
How can anyone defend how we are going about our football this season.
Skelped by a poor team in Europe and really pathetic powderpuff football being witnessed in our league campaign.
I never heard why Yengi was omitted from the squad but happy enough with that decision but I was extremely surprised Ohsh!t started again as he is all that is wrong with how we play. Keskinen is another powderpuff player. No substance in his game whatsoever. Nilsen and Shinnie are honking together and shouldn?t be starting a match.
Under pressure Russell Martin at Rangers is currently 3 points ahead of our neep of a manager and he is undoubtedly one of the worst managers I have seen. Why is Thelin untouchable

                          • He is certainly becoming extremely unbearable as the weeks go in. Looking like a right muppet now. We are weak all over the pitch. That is a major sign the players don?t believe in what they are doing. Jimmy must go!

                            • As much as I want it to work out for Jimmy, I really can't see it lasting too much longer, unless we can somehow pick up a couple of wins in our next three games.

I also wonder if he would walk away, rather than be sacked, if he feels it just isn't working out for him.

Sacking is always the easy part though. It's who we then get in that is always the worry.

The high of the 24th May seems such a long time ago now.

No manager nowadays walks away as too much money involved regarding wages etc. A deal could be done to mutually part ways rather than a straight sacking.

Whilst i agree with you that it is a worry who would replace him I am also thinking that if your team isn’t scoring a single goal in matches then you will be doing yourself an injustice if you think we couldn’t improve on that.

I am convinced if we lost the Scottish Cup final he was getting punted as our football was poor. He did win it though and we were all pleased. That though does not excuse him for this seasons shambles.
