Yes, that is really sad news. Condolences to his family on this sad occasion.
Smashing keeper who I first saw in April 1954 when he made his debut. It was a shame that injury shortened his career because I still rate him as possibly the best I have seen in a Burnley shirt. RIP Colin and thanks for the memories.

Colin before my time and for Sir Outwood to make such a massive statement he must have been great.
My first memory was Peter Mellor, Tony Waiters, Alan Stevenson, we had Tom Heaton, Popey, Trafford, Dubravka lately. Anyone care to name others in between as a good memory jog?

Sadly I never saw him play for either Burnley or England but my father saw him play and said he was a class above.
