He will certainly need to sell players like Edwards, Esteve and Ugochukwa to balance the books and we have a lot of players coming towards the end of their contracts.

Next season might not end well.
It might not end well mon ami, if not next season then, sooner rather than later, we will miss out on promotion. The examples of what may happen then are legion. My best guess would be we follow the WBA route, Yo-Yo club to just not quite good enough Championship club and then a slide into the relegation battle. it took WBA about five seasons, we might do it quicker.

I think Parker would be as popular in Burnley town centre as Andrew is at Sandringham

For me, not just Parker. Take the useless set piece man, and also take Michael Jackson, if he has any football nouse he would be in Parker’s ear pointing out the mistakes game after game. Clear out time, get Allardyce or someone in for a bit.

I have long thought that Jackson is content to collect his wage and keep his gob shut.

The owners just appear to be happy to pocket the Parachute monies and hope we bounce back the year after. There is no long term strategy or planning, they don't learn from past mistakes and just keep repeating the same old ones, with this season being a mirror of the Kompany one in the EPL
At least we had a few moments to smile(and laugh) about in the Kompany season BC.Wathching this dross is soul destroying.

I?ll say this CIb I?ve been going on for 53 years of my 58 on the earth and I can honestly say this year alone I could take it or leave it , I?ve never been as demoralized driving home as this season , that includes the 4th division where highlights were restricted viewing at Bolton - sliding down mud bank at Wigan - freezing to death at Blackpool on the open end, all of those had some form of excitement in the game ( I literally barely get of my seat nowadays it?s that negative ).

Wouldn?t do if we were all the same now would it - I still talk to people who think all is well - yes we?re going down to a better league and fairer football they say with the hope to get promoted again to this

I still clearly remember the thunderbolt from Fofana, the sublime counter attack with JBL finishing the assist from Berge. The great strike from JBL against Forest and the headed goals by O?Shea.
I cannot remember anything remotely like those goals this season.Yes there were mistakes at the back but at least we gave it a go.

I'm truly astonished that we are doing so badly this season. I really thought somewhere around a 15th place finish and rock on into next season.

                      Wrong again.

Great minds mon ami, I really thought we'd stay up fairly comfortably this season. I cannot believe how fecking awful we are.

I might be exaggerating a bit here mon ami, but give me a week in full training at Gawthorpe and I'd shape better than Tuanzebe, he's seriously pfhucking awful.

You remember all that be conveniently forget the wonder goal we scored home to Leeds.

Glad you mentioned O'Shea, we haven't had a set piece specialist since he left. I said beginning of the season that we needed a CH who bangs a few in as Esteve is useless. But no, no phuker listened

I don't think that 8 goals in 300 appearances will excite anyone though windave. The most he scored in any one season since his debut in 2015/16 is one and he has scored one in eight different seasons, his last being in Turkey for Besiktas in May 2024.
