I think your two's bias towards RL is making you unappreciative of the wonders of Association Football. As they say in Bavaria ‘Mia San Mia’.

Here's a more unbiased take on the game...https://www.theguardian.com/football...uality-evening

Written by someone who has only been watching the game 5 minutes and is part of the media who consider the PL to be the best league in the world. They need to open their eyes.
Arsenal managed 7 shots with just 1 on target in 120 minutes of football. If that had been the Clarets the fans would have been moaning more than usual. Arsenal have got away with so much in the PL this season because the PL were desperate for them to become champions. More fouls committed last night, more cautions, penalty awarded against them etc., etc.

I have seen the State of Origin, the Challenge Cup Final and the NRL match this morning between Panthers and Warriors, who are the top two teams in the NRL, all in the last 5 days and they surpassed all of the football I have watched this season for skill, effort, honesty and entertainment.

Best team on the field were the officials who switched on to Arsenal's time wasting and the dark arts of both teams. I loved it when he blew for half time when Arsenal took too long over the corner. The booking early in the second half for the time it was taking to take a throw in was also a good decsion and the Arsenal appeal for the penalty was a first class decision because it was the Arsenal player who held the arm and dragged down the PSG player.
The team who went out to win the game did win in the end so justice done, however, it was far from an entertaining game.
Absolutely spot on Sub, we've just had a season of the ****e Arsenal were playing, I could have done without another two hours of it.

I've been reading Barney's stuff for years, normally he's quite sane and sensible, I can only assume he'd had a good, long lunch the way he's raving over that borefest.

Guys I can tell you all no longer attend games on the Turf. Last season was toxic, pathetic and that was only the pies. Without doubt the worse football I have seen at Burnley since around 1985.

Two teams last Saturday playing for one of the most prestigious prizes in world football and were never going to provide a classic. Wish about 20 of those playing were at Turf Moor, especially the PSG wingers.

I don't think anyone is questioning the talent/abilities of the players, it was just shame that of two teams capable of playing attractive, entertaining football, one chose not to and concentrated instead on negating the other. Someone up there was maybe watching, because the team that tried to win the game did actually win it in the end.

The anti-Arsenal bias is a nationwide thing mon ami. Only Gunners supporters wanted Arsenal to win.

Anyway, I'm sick of talking about inconsequential (to me) issues like Rugby League so I will leave this sort of thread well alone from now on in. Same goes for the Evil Emperor of the New World Order. No point in getting my blood pressure raised for nowt.
