Rare earth minerals is what is driving Trump, his insatiable malevolence towards Europe is a bit scary, he is no friend of the United Kingdom or Europe, he despises NATO and will only aid Ukraine if they hand over the coveted rare and critical minerals. Trump is a gangster and no mistake. I’m happy to report the Spanish government do not want anything to do with him.

Wtf was that about, with Trump and Vance giving Zelensky a showdown, never seen anything like it in public before, they acted like a couple of play ground bullies.
I bet Zelensky would have loved to have chinned the pair of them
That unprofessional school boys meeting should be a lesson to the EU, that they need to step up to the mark and make defence their priority
The UK for the sake of our economy and national security need to immediately sack of net zero and support our manufacturing base to make us great again. If Starmer can't see the light we need a military coup to rid the country of these socialist imbeciles, to put the country back onto the path of prosperity and security independence

If Starmer was even a socialist I’d be happy and Trump and Vance are acting like a pair of Mafia gangsters running a protection racket. We need to exercise great caution.Originally posted by ballcock View PostWtf was that about, with Trump and Vance giving Zelensky a showdown, never seen anything like it in public before, they acted like a couple of play ground bullies.

Who scripts this outrageous $hit?Originally posted by sinkov View Post"The UK Ukraine Fetish enters the world of pure insanity".
"As Donald Trump attempts valiantly to wrest sanity from the literal ashes of Globalist foreign policy idiocy, the UK government strives with every fibre of its being to keep the Ukraine War going. Starmer and Macron are perhaps the two most powerful Globalist leaders left standing, if the terms ?powerful? and ?leader? can be said to apply to sock puppets put in place to serve sinister interests. Both have entered a sort of death spiral competition to see who can be the most ludicrously determined to steer their failing nations into the abyss of Ukraine spending, Ukraine worship and Ukraine war frenzy."
"Macron has been busily trying to shore up EU ?resistance? to the apparently horrific idea of ending the war with a negotiated peace settlement. But for sheer performative disconnect from the voting public, the best interests of your own citizens and the prevailing mood of the times, Starmer puts little Macron to shame. We have finally found something that Starmer excels at. It?s being the most ludicrous sh!t in the Ludicrous Sh!t Leader category of the Globalist version of the Darwin Awards."

I am on the right of politics. Trump I do not and never have liked. He is a graceless bully with almost no redeeming features. It is astonishing that he is the face of America and the World will have 4 years to live with that. The truth is he has huge domestic support amongst voters in the USA and of course is being cheered to the echo in the Kremlin. The UK and Europe will need to negotiate a new realpolitik in which seemingly neither of us will be able to rely on the United States for support. Unless we cut a deal of course.

Do you mean Zelenskyy just rolls over give’s Trump the keys to his kingdom and the mineral rights? European politicians and their supporters are not going to let that happen. No chance.Originally posted by sinkov View PostGive it a month tops and the war will be over, either Zelensky sees sense and accepts a peace deal, or Trump pulls the plug and the Red Army will be in Keeeeev in a matter of days. Up to him, but either way the war will be over.

European politicians have a long history of being useless and clueless.
Zelensky will more than likely have to come to the negotiating table to do a deal with Trump, as the UK can't go alone and the EU are not capable of agreeing to anything
Can't see what the big deal is about the Ukraine minerals. No mining company is going to step foot in the Ukraine and invest money there with Russia breathing down its neck, when they can get the same minerals from Australia and Canada.

Trump is doing the right thing in making Europe sit up and realise its about time they got their act together and defended their own territory instead of relying on the US for military support. Russia for oil and gas and China for goods
This is the kick up the arse the UK needs to make us see sense and ditch net zero, which is dangerous, expensive, and makes us dependant on our foes

No, of course not, Zelensky should not be rolling over and giving anything away, he simply signs the deal which compensates the USA for the billions of dollars worth of financial and military help the USA has given Ukraine over the last few years, or he can be stroppy, tell Trump and the USA to do one and try negotiating with Putin, or continue the war with just Europe's backing. Best of luck with that one.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostDo you mean Zelenskyy just rolls over give’s Trump the keys to his kingdom and the mineral rights? Zelensky must know what Trump is like, he should know how to deal with him, it's not hard, even Two Tier Kier can do it, but with the future survival of his country at stake he allowed himself to get drawn into a war of words with Trump, another war he was always going to lose. Hopefully for Ukraine the situation can be retrieved but Zelensky will have to get off his high horse first.

They can try it, but Putin and his mates would be opening the Vodka bottles in the Kremlin if they did. Besides which mon ami, you and me both know full well that Putin didn't invade Ukraine for fun, this has been years in the making, but we don't need to go over all that again. Here's just one more reason Putin has a bee in his bonnet about Ukraine, we both know there are others.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostCan Europe pull together and tell Trump to do one?

Having watched the exchanges on TV, it is obvious to me that Trump and Vance were exceptionally rude, which appears to be Trumps way, to Zelenski.
While Zelenski was trying to answer questions they continually talked over him and started finger pointing, this was totally uncalled for, but the arrogance of Trump was more than apparent.
If I had been in Zelenski's position I would have got up and told Trump & Vance where to go, before walking out.
It is obvious the bullying Trump & Vance were not getting their own way so as per normal they turned to personal insults.
Again this was some payback to Putin for the support he gave to Trump. Since Vance actually stated he theought Zelenski had supported Karmila Harris for president.
