I have been to the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem and glad I was able to do so. Of course it still stands but Christians almost everywhere in Muslim lands are persecuted and their numbers decimated. Another dispossessed people but not even mentioned in an address for a festival that is specific to Christians. Centrepiece of course of his address is a hunger strike that is imposed on themselves by people who have broken the law. They may not like those laws but they apply equally to all citizens.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostJeremy Corbyn in his Christmas message says: "Christmas, of course, is also a time when we wish for peace. How symbolic that the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem stands in an occupied land, amid a people being dispossessed, less than 50 miles away from an ongoing genocide. We give the Palestinian people our solidarity and our promise that we will not let our government?s complicity in their suffering stand. And we express our horror, too, at the callous treatment of the pro-Palestine hunger strikers in our own country at the hands of the justice system and the government."

I have been listening to those Christmas messages from the great, the good and the frankly irrelevant. Most in my jaundiced world view would fall into the final category. My mood this year has fluttered between incredulous bewilderment and outright rage as the farcical government of this country has unfolded. Cancelled elections, abolished juries, unprotected borders and abandoned communities are just the tip of the iceberg. Forget the platitudes of politicians and religious leaders if things continue as they are next year 2026 will likely bring violence on the streets that we have not witnessed since the 1930’s when Mosley’s fascists marched the streets. But just note the difference. Back then the far right were the anti-Semites. Today it is the Left marching the streets many supporting “from the River to the Sea” Hamas an organisation dedicated not to the recognition of a separate Palestinian state alongside Israel but the total extinction of Israel and every Jew they encounter. The right meanwhile has now recognised the threat that militant Islam poses to every single person who stands in their way whether Jew, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, atheist, socialist, democrat, or anything else. Chilling isn’t it and all those Christmas messages about World War 2 and communities coming together to face a terrifying common enemy may not have been too wide of the mark after all.

What was it you were saying about Islamophobia mon ami ?Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostThe Islamophobia on here is certainly darkening for the worse.
"15 innocent people are dead this time, including a little girl. People whose only crime was to go to the beach on the wrong day. People whose only crime was being Jewish. All murdered by a father and son team of Muslim terrorists."
Just tell me again what your problem is ?
"In April 2024 the French think tank Fondapol released the most comprehensive analysis of global Islamic terrorism ever produced. That study discovered that between 1979 and April 2024, Islam was responsible for 66,872 terrorist attacks globally. These attacks have caused the deaths of at least 249,941 people. And the rate of these attacks has been rapidly increasingly. 84.4% of the attacks come from 2013 onwards. By pure coincidence, of course, the same period which sees a massive increase of Islamic terrorism in western nations saw a massive increase in Muslim immigration from war torn nations like Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Libya, along with EU-applicant Turkey and various other Muslim nations. This wave of mass Islamic immigration was particularly significant thanks to asylum granted to refugees fleeing the series of wars commencing with the First Iraq War and continuing through both western led Arab Spring conflicts over the last 25 years.
By another remarkable coincidence, the nations which have welcomed the most Islamic refugees (France, Germany, Sweden, the UK) have seen the most Islamic terror attacks, while the nations which closed their borders to such arrivals (Poland, Hungary, both defying EU orders) have avoided such attacks. Recent crime analysis, let alone terrorist atrocities, show a very clear pattern too. The five nations from which the most criminal and dangerous immigrants come, the immigrants statistically most likely to engage in violent and ***ual crimes, are all Muslim nations. US immigration have been the only western authorities to in any way acknowledge and act on these facts.
But of course it?s all a mystery regarding where these terrorist attacks come from, isn?t it? Whilst exclusively conducted by Muslims in the name of Islam, media scrupulously avoid the notion that recognition of this might be honest and rational and a requirement of dealing with it. Instead we get the endless repetition of the Bush era ?Religion of Peace? slogan, together with the tiresome notion that being honest is an irrational prejudice (accusations of ?Islamophobia?)."

No such thing as Islamophobia BT. It simply does NOT exist. A phobia is an irrational fear of something that is not a threat. Concerns about Islam arise because of the difference between what it says about itself ie religion of peace and how it actually treats non-Muslims.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostThe Islamophobia on here is certainly darkening for the worse.

Netanyahu has ordered the slaughter of 100,000 Palestinian Muslims in Gaza and the Jews are dispossessing Arab Muslims in the West Bank and committing all sorts of other atrocities.
The outrageous attack on Bondi Beach proves there really is no such thing as a free lunch.
On any given day some US whack job opens fire inside an elementary and butchers American kids.
Trump seizes Venezuelan oil, murders Venezuelan sailors, over Christmas he attacks Nigeria and Syria with unlimited US military force and we are all told on a Christmas broadcast by a silver tongued adulterer to unite and live peacefully.
Some chance eh guys?

More fake news for you mon ami. Trump unlawfully used the US military in Nigeria as the dumber than dumb Yanks celebrated the Christmas holiday while an entirely unnecessary and unjustified use of US military force took place, violating the Orange Buffoon’s pledge to his deranged supporters to put American interests first and avoid risky and wasteful military campaigns abroad. How far is Nigeria to the US?

ISIS killed three Yanks in Syria last week, they are committing genocide against the Christian community in Nigeria. They are a security threat to the USA, a clear and present danger. The American military will eliminate them anywhere, any time, it can. What's your problem with that ?

Here you are mon ami, once again you are spreading lies and fake news about Mr Trump, the attack on ISIS terrorists in Nigeria was not unlawful'. " the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) still applies and remains a primary legal basis for U.S. counterterrorism operations globally, even though it has been stretched far beyond its original intent against Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, authorizing actions against groups like ISIS in numerous countries. While there are ongoing debates and legislative efforts to repeal or replace it due to its broad scope and lack of sunset clause, it continues to be used by successive administrations for military force without a clear expiration date."

The Yanks did and still do a Rule Britannia and authorised itself to act as global policemen. I notice they do not have the balls to assert its "authority" in China.Originally posted by sinkov View PostHere you are mon ami, once again you are spreading lies and fake news about Mr Trump, the attack on ISIS terrorists in Nigeria was not unlawful'.
