To be honest I thought we'd already loaned him out to Espanyol, I must have dreamt that up from somewhere.

Seeing has we won and I'm feeling magnanimous, I have to say I thought Derby's goal was a cracker, we won't see many better on Turf Moor this year.

Seeded draw tonight, those teams in Europe will be kept apart, drawn home or away and then their opponents will be drawn out of the riff-raff bag, then what's left of the riff-raff will be drawn against each other.

Whatever happened to chuck all the balls in a hat, pull one out and see what happens?

First off Edwards was a yard off the pace for a tackle and then Worrall was two yards off the pace for a tackle. Esteve would have mopped them both up.

It was muted mon ami, but Pace wanted Luca in Barcelona. What Pace wants, Pace gets. Espanyol RCD have however, made a cracking start to the new season - W 1. D 1.

Big Joe was a couple of inches off, never two yards. Being too quick for the opposition makes for good goals, that's what the game is all about.

Our reward for knocking out Derby is a home tie v Cardiff.

I wish I'd had the chance to play against you mon ami, you would have needed a blood transfusion to replace your twisted blood.

I thought you were the typical brick ****-house centre-half mon ami. Have you been putting us away and all along you were really a poor mans Luca Koleosho ?

I had the honour to play at right back for Rossendale Schoolboys mon ami. Great right foot, left peg just for standing on. Progressed to be the "next John Connelly" on the right wing. Sadly that went tits up with a dodgy hamstring. Played centre-half and right midfield where I gathered the nickname "Chopper" to which my old team mates still call me. My son loves it when we attend a Burnley game together and he hears "Oy, Chopper!" coming from somewhere down a street or in the crowd. I would love to have just one more game playing at full throttle, it's no exaggeration to say I lived to play football, dance to Northern Soul tunes and chase lasses up the High Street. The Best Days of my life.
