The team that started with the bench available would give the Championship a real run for its money. Strength in depth at long last!Originally posted by sinkov View PostThings are looking up, play the Stiffs and we still win.
Tuanzebe & Tchaouna could probably go straight into the first team.

I thought Tuanzebe looked really good. A couple of initial nervy short passes but then awesome, Pair him with Esteve please (wonder if that's the idea for Saturday?) Tchaouna is a right old handful for defenders. Humphreys is also looking good again, good cover for CB or LB. Not so sure about Pires myself, and agree about Worrall, seems his best days well and truly behind him.

Other than score the 1st goal I was disappointed in Ramsey. I thought he looked rusty with little presence and that a season loan would be best for him.
I would expect that a 4 or 5 of the players on show last night will either be sold or go out on loan. I wouldn't bet against Worrall going to somewhere like Hull or Sheffield, if we sign another centre half

I'm not too disappointed. I think we played reasonably well. Still got a load of players out injured so I'm not surprised we lost.
I think once we get our strongest side out we will do OK. A few more weeks for some of them, especially the foreign lads still missing.

For me it was a win win situation for Burnley. Through to Round 3 and important minutes for Ramsey, Tuanzebe, Humphreys and Broja. Plus a cameo from Tresor. Could he possibly give us a full 90 minutes sometime. Worrying there are doubts about Worrall. He is only 28 so should be in his prime.Originally posted by wmdave_b View PostI thought Tuanzebe looked really good. Worrall is rusty he has hardly played since we signed him. He did a superb job marshalling the defence once Esteve left the pitch injured on Saturday. He's a squad player and a good one at that, but like Ballcock alluded to, I can see him leaving sometime soon.Originally posted by outwoodclaret View PostFor me it was a win win situation for Burnley. You just cannot expect players who have not had a game for 18 months to just come back in prime fitness and form. It just isn't going to happen.Originally posted by ballcock View PostOther than score the 1st goal I was disappointed in Ramsey. I like the look of Tchaouna & Tuanzebe though.

Agree BT. Thats why he needs to be playing regularly, he isn't good enough for the 1st team yet. Tchaouna & Tuanzebe are just what we need for the Premier league, along with big Les and Broja.Originally posted by The Bedlington Terrier View PostYou just cannot expect players who have not had a game for 18 months to just come back in prime fitness and form. I honestly wouldn't take Brownhill back if he came cap in hand. He is a good player don't get me wrong, but falls short in the premier league

I pfhucking hate it when I have to agree with either you or sinkov. Brownhill can stay on "Do One Airlines" for me too#Originally posted by ballcock View PostAgree BT.
