For all the moaning about VAR, it did overturn the ref's decision to give a pen against Walker in the first half. Fair dos lads.

All he has to do now is stop the unnecessary fouls and try and keep onside and we are on to a winner. Parker might also regret sending Hountondji out on loan for the season, he's scoring goals for fun in the Bundesliga.

It is patently obvious that we far destined to play teams that have superior players to us. To think otherwise, quite honestly, is naive. In my opinion we gave a good showing of ourselves and, whilst we rode our luck at times, could have got a point but for a bogus penalty decision.

You are quite welcome to disagree and express your point of view. That is what a forum like this is for.
If you rewind, I write a comment about our team being like rabbits in head lights, Our board has chosen to not buy experienced players and opt for sicknotes and gamble on potential.
So are you going to reply to every negative comment on performance all season, because every teams individuals value is higher?
Was Leicester's team value higher than Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City when they won the PL?
Maybe you should write a complaint to the FA as Bournemouth beat Spurs away yesterday.... That cant be right... Spurs are worth a lot more!! Sunderland beat Brentford... there is another complaint..

So every time we look poor, like yesterdays first half.. your Ok all season as we are worth less...
Imagine we have a really good season and half our teams value doubles, that will blow your mind...

As for Anthony, wtf was he thinking. The dozy cnut. I'd put a bet on us to draw as well. 🤐🤐
Alfie I hope you have seen excerpts from the Chelsea v Fulham game. In all honestly, the VAR transgressions that the Cottagers suffered were truly worse than ours. VAR is rubbish.

I don't see how that decision was wrong to overrule the Fulham goal - he trod on the opponent's foot and it gave him an advantage.

Thing is the clamour for VAR came about cos there have been a few clear and obvious reffing howlers down the years that a quick look at a video screen would put right.

What nobody seemed to consider was that for every clanger there are dozens of minor infractions that should also be punished but aren't in a normal game of footie and in fact make the game worth watching.

Nobody can tell me that as a spectacle that game yesterday was the better for chalking that Fulham goal off, but from according to the rules of the game it should have been.

You have to get rid of VAR to save the game, but fans and soft-headed pundits would have to stop throwing their toys out the pram every time they believe a decision goes against them.

That's not going to happen so in fact we'll end VARing VAR as the next step.

The lad turned with the Chelsea player behind him, it was not a deliberate foul just a coming together of two players. I sincerely hope the Chelsea player will be out of ICU sometime soon.

If Burnley failed the financial restrictions the decision and the points deduction would follow in five minutes. With City. 115 potential breaches - how long has that been going on and still no decision?

In that context, the super league makes sense. Let the genuine clubs like Burnley fight it out for the scraps off the table.
Yes, let them form a European super league and I will NEVER watch it. We would be far better off from a football point of view with a winable premier league than the monopoly there is now. Top 6/8 are all that matters.; let them go. Terrible and boring as it is now. Every team should be in peril of relegation!

The PGMO came out and said earlier today that the goal should have stood because no foul was committed.
As a result, they even changed the VAR official, Michael Salisbury, after his mistake yesterday because he should have been VAR on the Liverpool v Arsenal bore today as well.

That's not what they have said. They said the decision to have the on-field ref look at it was wrong, not the decision.

Put it this way: a professional ref in a box watching it suspected it was a foul. The ref on the field reviewed it and deemed it a foul. It was a foul.

It's a weird and weak fudge to basically say two professionals believe it was a foul, but it shouldn't have been a foul cos all the crybabies on social media and punditry have got on our backs so we're backing down.

Like I said the problem is VAR itself and they're just gonna keep tying themselves in its knots cos video refereeing doesn't work with football.

Hey up, Alf. How's Nelson treating you?

Hope you've been out with your red paint painting a St George cross on all the roundabouts down your way.

See BC (Sinkov) still going. Anyone else still knocking around?

Refs make mistakes in a split second.

VAR makes mistakes after a 5 minute review. I know which I would prefer.
