Very interesting Alf, did he survive the sinking or perish? It’s always good to hear about local people and history of posters
I sometimes go to the Saint Mary Magdalene church if the mood takes me on a Sunday where Lord Byron and his daughter Ada Lovelace are buried in the family vaultLast edited by chaincey.ncfc; 23-08-2024, 07:28 AM.

Even amid the tumult, his last words are said to have resounded clearly. 'Gentlemen, I bid you farewell.

After Petes comment I decided to fact check my erm…fact, octopuses have actually got two legs which they use to launch themselves away and six arms for eating n stuff, they are highly intelligent creatures and one has been known to take a top off a jar in under a minute and presumably banned from Asda,I couldn’t back up the fact about the octopuses p@nis though nor find any reference at all to it online, this could be down to misinformation on the Jason Manford radio show or maybe some fuzzy dream after a session last night?
