If you don't like the thread don't read or contribute to it - simples. No one's forcing you. It's just intended to bring a little levity to the subject instead of the usual po-faced holier than thou rhetoric favoured by some.
Interesting take on a person who espouses right wing views (at times extreme ones), who is funded by ex pat billionaires, spreads falsehoods, lies, is happy to take the money ofr being an MP but doesn't do the job, as he was happy to take the money for being a Euro MP but hardly attended, who is very friendly and supportive of Trump, though for obvious reasons has backe d away from that in recent times. Who said Putin was a leader he admired, and has undoubtdly had Russian connections/funding in the past. Who praised Liz Truss's budget, who was of the opinion the UK should ahve joined in Trumps Iran War folly.

Quite how one can be po-faced about a malign, lying, disruptor whose main achievement has been to sow division, mistrust and falsehoods, whilst pretending he is a "man" of the people is hard to fathom, no matter what ones political views might be.

But then maybe fascism is appealing to some people these days?

By way of balance, to reel in naughty GP a little, and to reinforce a point made I think by MA and supported by many here: Farage has a flat in London he doesn’t live in despite claiming his parliamentary living allowance for so doing, chooses to rent the property out at commercial rates and stands to make possibly £600000 profit if he sells at today’s prices

maybe, but sounds like its within the rules, perhaps the rules need changing so you have to demonstrate residency in the property for x amount of days to claim it. Not one to defend him but if the rules allow then he won't be the first or only one.

But how can Burnham be in receipt of parliamentary living allowance if he's not in parliament

So I googled it, hes not, but he was and exploited a now closed loophole to do so.

Which i was alluding to in my bizarre defence of Farage.
