Brexit will be the making of this country - and if the jockstraps choose to leave - then they will be in for a bumpy ride - Frying pan to fire springs to mind - but we will be allright jack -of this i'm certain!
Incidentally it's funny how so many remainers seem to think the leavers where all conned into it? patronising or what!

I dont think Swale will give in so easily!!! 500 still on the cardsOriginally posted by ramAnag View PostRoger Ramjet...who'd a thunk it! The secret to life, the Universe and everything...well the answer to a major problem with the EU at least...and it's not 42!
Good post, sir. We've had our (healthy and constructive) differences of opinion but I applaud your reasoning. Could have saved it for #500 but I guess 'Manofpride' might be waiting for that honour having started it all.
In the meantime, maybe young Ramjet could take over from Jean Claude.

You'll change your mind when things get worse, worse and even more worse. I see today that Nat West want to charge negative interest when your account is even in credit. It is said that all the other banks are watching closely.I'm all right Jack used to be a Trade Union motto but look where they are now.Originally posted by Tichi1 View PostBrexit will be the making of this country - and if the jockstraps choose to leave - then they will be in for a bumpy ride - Frying pan to fire springs to mind - but we will be allright jack -of this i'm certain!

Nice bit of DailyMailism there. NatWest MAY charge negative interest and only if 'you' are a businessOriginally posted by Akwesasne View PostYou'll change your mind when things get worse, worse and even more worse. Not 'giving in' RR...and no, not van Damme either! Sorry to disappoint.Originally posted by roger_ramjet View PostI dont think Swale will give in so easily!!! 500 still on the cards
Just think you make a very good point regarding the EU. It's not actually a reason for us leaving, well not in our position anyway, as far as I can tell but it is one of the most objective and, imo, well reasoned criticisms of one of the EU's major failings.
I certainly haven't, and I don't think Swale has, ever said we're 100% behind the EU but I think he, and I know I, have always maintained that our continued membership is better for both Europe and the U.K. That's all.

As I have a number of businesses all of which bank with Natwest, I can be specific on this one:
"global interest rates remain at very low levels and in some markets are currently negative. Dependent on future market conditions. this could result in us charging interest on credit balances. We'll provide you with the appropriate notice before doing so should this situation ever arise."
This will be effective 3/10/16 when new business bank accounts terms and conditions will change.
I have not received a similar advice from any of my personal bank accounts with Natwest.

I never read the Daily Mail. I heard it on the Radio Four Today programme. They said that people might choose to keep their money under the mattress again.Originally posted by Andy_Faber View PostNice bit of DailyMailism there. NatWest MAY charge negative interest and only if 'you' are a business

You back then Angers? Who'd have thought all this 'political ****e' - as I seem to remember you calling it - would get such a following?
Hope you've cleared that field for the celebratory party you promised at Chateau Angry...what time's kick off?

You are really pathetic and should learn to read and understand the meaning of big words like xenophobia. It means the hatred of all foreigners. Read my posts and you will notice that I freely accept the great contribution that many of them make you our society. However, I feel we should be able to turn away those that will damage our society. God knows, we have enough of our own that do that.
How is that xenophobic?
Idiots like you should carefully think before you libel people.

Well it had been a good and very tolerant debate. I'll stick with my original definition of 'xenophobia' thanks - 'a deep rooted fear and mistrust of foreigners' - and it's not a particularly big word. Of course we should 'be able to turn away those that damage our society'. Where have I said otherwise? My point is that anyone who, during the course of a debate which touches on the matter of migration, immediately seeks to identify immigrants as being synonymous with 'convicted rapists, *** offenders and other non desirables' has a problem and a tendency towards being xenophobic.Originally posted by Ram59 View PostYou are really pathetic and should learn to read and understand the meaning of big words like xenophobia. Couple that with your foolish and incorrect criticism of the French border agencies in a previous post and I think you'll get my drift. You intimate that the British alone are being picked on as part of a post Brexit reaction when actually the border with Belgium has been seriously tightened and staffed by the military for some time, and isn't it just possible that with potential terrorist targets such as crowded ferries and the Tunnel that the French are having to be particularly thorough? They might not be particularly organised about it but to describe it as anti-British is just weird.
Anyway, you feel free to pursue your libel case.
