1999 a nuclear explosion on the far side of the moon sends it, and its 311 inhabitants hurtling in space. Martin Landau ensures the safety of Moonbase Alpha but it is really Barbara Bain as Dr Helena Russell who has a generation of just post-pubescent boys scrambling under their bedsheets with a torch and hankie.
So, who's gonna grab number 2000? The honour surely belongs to ManofPrideLast edited by roger_ramjet; 10-02-2017, 01:09 PM.

Absolutely no point in peddling your "false truths" as you say, still laughing that you were unaware for the reasons behind the forming of the EEC as it was then known and assuming NATO had kept the peace in europe as against being a organisation formed to keep the expansionist aims of the soviet union and latterly Russia at bay..but hey ho, a guy who quotes the daily Express as a source of facts clearly has issues!Originally posted by Trickytreesreds View PostNo point me arguing with you Swale, your head is firmly camped where it is.
All I'll say is, you DON'T know we'll be worse off and you DON'T know the EU is the better place to be. Even Schultz (the europhile) is admitting the EU could break up, especially with Trump now in office.
So please don't patronise everyone like you're a soothsayer
You also have absolutely no idea where my head is firmly camped - on the basis that we have done pretty well economically as member of the Eu and on the basis that immigration has been a direct contributor to the UK's economic growth - its a reasonable assessment that the future is at best uncertain and at worse grim - what is clear is that Brexit will not bring the benefits to those in the Brexit camp like yourself who claim that stopping EU immigration will mean jobs for UK citizens we are at close to full employment now or that we will simply replace the trade we have with the EU by trading with other countries.
As for the EU breking up, mm only a fool would want to see political turmoil in europe as history shows the end results don't tend to be positive.

I think the full stops are a clue. You okay Rog? Posts 1993-99 would suggest you've finished early and maybe had a lunchtime snifter too many.Originally posted by roger_ramjet View Postis your final US above a reference to the collective first person plural or the country on the north american continent?
Actually it probably doesn't matter as the answer in both cases is "up **** creek without a paddle"

REALLY!? What world do you live in where posting the 2,000th time on a thread is an honour?Originally posted by roger_ramjet View PostYou should have had the honour of the 2000th post but someone intervened
By the way used JUST EAT last night and got a superb lamb bhuna without having to venture into the cold and snow, marvellous service!

I can probably get you certified but not sure thats what you want! Is it a reflection of how the club is doing OK and theres nothing much to moan about, or that its a topic where clearly there are divided opinions?Originally posted by Manofpride View PostDo I get a certificate or an award for starting a thread which has had over 2000 post's!!! How about a mention in the Guinness book of records. I feel a bit special!

Oh no not you again, what the BBC says something you agree with? Quelle surprise! if you let your addled brain think you'd know that nobody thinks the EU is perfect, but then what is?Originally posted by Trickytreesreds View PostWow the BBC, stops spouting it's propaganda for a change.
This ought to have been shown ages ago.
