1. Nothing will stop us trading with EU countries, simple supply and demand.

2. See 1, with the removal of restriction and preferential treatment of other EU states to our detriment.

3. Try buying your 1st home down south. Despite having a good job, a prospective mortgage would by me half a shed. What's the EU offering me? How accurate have these predictions or guesses been so far? Are they 3 month projections or 3 years? What's behind those numbers?

4. UK employment rights far exceed any other EU state or minimum requirements, they could be reduced or removed at any time whilst we remain a member.

5. We hold a monopoly on intelligence, our ranges and strategic position give us facilities unavailable throughout the rest of the EU states. Even the US rely on our intelligence services and facilities. Security is one of our biggest bargaining chips.

6. EU states rely heavily on our tourism, another bargaining chip.

7. Well be a major stakeholder outside of the organisation and hold plenty of influence, without being bound by club rules.

I'm not a hardliner passionate brexiteer, I just want the best and I believe the opportunity is greater outside. I don't like the tabloid and scaremongering pushed by people profiting from unrest, whether that's Farage or Cable, I see right through it. Unfortunately, we are more vulnerable to fear than positivity, so its easy for these people to prey on the masses.

Read.... The first line of my reply.. The swaledale post was not about Brexit. You then bumble on about your agendas again and again and again.

I have interviewed so many youngsters over the last 10 years. Most are distraught at not being able to get a job, as they go to Europeans 10 years older than them.
We have created a rod for our own back here. An unskilled generation which will come back to haunt us. I wouldn't be surprised if this was deliberate, to leave us desperate on foreign labour to plug these gaps.
Don't get me started on housing/services/benefits drain.

Spot on Tricky. It was always, until recently, denied by those pushing Europe, They lied. No surprise there as they were politicians. Way back in the 70s, I voted NO, simply because I knew the aim was to create a US of E and said so, much to the amusement of colleagues and to fellow drinkers in the local boozer. Who's laughing now? Certainly not me.

I have posted before on why a single taxation policy won't ever work, on why the Euro isn't a strong currency etc etc etc so won't repeat myself. Suffice it to say that, IMHO, RIGHT NOW is make or break time for the working class and much of what used to be the middle class. Business globalisation is putting more and more money, power and influence into less and less hands. Centralisation of political power, called the EU but soon to be the uS of E, will see the ploitical power follow the USA system of candidates representing those who fund their millions of Euro costing campaigns (the multinationals) rather than the electorate. They will have the people by the balls and it will be akin to a new slavery unless people rise up and fight back today.

Actually it is, unfortunately, very important and although I liked your ‘rancid bath water’ analogy yesterday there was, imo, a better one from David Miliband this morning.
He likened Brexit to buying a house...said you wouldn’t dream of buying a house without a full survey. At the time of the initial referendum there was no such ‘survey’...just scaremongering, prejudice and hyperbole...yes from both sides if you like.
Three years on there has been something more like that ‘survey’...so why not vote again now that we are much better informed about what we will be buying out of or into?

Start with Malone but look out for a replacement if Forsyth doesn’t recover imo.

Fair enough. I totally accept that...but that’s surely a long way away. ‘They’ haven’t even got us to drive on the same side of the road or go properly metric in almost half a century of membership, let alone share the same currency.

I appreciate the concerns but the same people who tend to voice them also speak of a Franco/German ‘stitch up’. Surely if their voices are so ‘effective’ it shouldn’t be beyond us to make ours equally so and prevent what you speak of.

Geoff is right and that reinterred my earlier point in that Remainers are now destroying this country.. By all means be vocal and state your new/current points but we now have remainers openly stalling the process and that is wrong., Accept the position and be part of making things better..
I am still quite close to Brexit from an HMRC perspective and attend various meetings here in London and in the EU.. However there is little point in posting anything on here as your minds are closed.
