Easy. He doesn't write in a Black, Asian or other minority ethnic accent. That sounds bameOriginally posted by Geoff Parkstone View PostSomething has just occurred to me. Swale, you protest that you are not racist (casually or otherwise) when making these comments about de white folk - but how do we know that you are neither black nor Asian yourself? How do we know I am not?
For if you are, then you are in fact guilty of making an inflammatory racist suggestion, so come on then, time to fess up.
Statistically there are (just) enough people actively posting in this forum to suggest we have a BAME poster amongst us, and as rA is the statistical one gay poster, maybe this is you?

Oh dear you just don't get it do you? I suggest you a do a little research regarding the meaning and definition of racism and being racist! I did post it for your information but clearly you didn't or couldn't understand it.
It would save you making yourself look a complete ignoramus by posting such utter nonsensical rubbish on this Forum.
dear me, you can't help some people.

I listen to the DUP (who backed Brexit) in sheer disbelief, when they moan about the issues importing goods into N ireland, did they not actually understand what Brexit would mean?
Did they actually believe that serial liar, Johnson when he said
"If somebody asks you (to fill in a form) you tell them to ring up the Prime Minister & I will direct them to throw that form in the bin"
Or back in December 2019 when he claimed repeatedly that his withdrawal agreement with the EU does not create friction in trading between Great Britain and Northern Ireland. He has said businesses in Northern Ireland will not face checks or fees when exporting goods to Great Britain.
The Conservative party’s manifesto states: “We will ensure that Northern Ireland’s businesses and producers enjoy unfettered access to the rest of the UK and that in the implementation of our Brexit deal, we maintain and strengthen the integrity and smooth operation of our internal market.”
If they did then they are more stupid then I thought they were!

Oh and it looks very much as if its the Uk that is the cause of the problem! What a surprise!
EU Officials have also said that the UK has still not facilitated access for the EU to its customs IT system, so that EU officials are able to monitor in real time the flow of goods across the Irish Sea.
The UK and EU signed a partnership agreement on 17 December in which London agreed to grant the EU access to HMRC's data system.
In return, the EU agreed to facilitate a trusted trader scheme that simplified customs formalities. However, EU sources say access has not yet been facilitated.
Officials also say that the UK has yet to make use of other flexibilities, such as data generated when goods are shipped by ferry from Northern Ireland to Great Britain.
Such data was envisaged as providing equivalent information as so-called exit summary declarations, which are normally required when goods leave the EU's customs union.

And yet more upsides to Brexit! They keep on coming, so glad we did a hard Brexit, makes perfect sense for our economy!
Amsterdam overtook the City of London in volume of shares traded, marvellous who wants all that revenue, tax income and jobs from financial services eh?
Post-Brexit trading problems are hurting the business of AEV Group, a Merseyside-based specialist manufacturer of electrical insulating varnishes and resins, which has a plant in Hungary. Jonathan Kemp, managing director of the company, said the firm could be forced to reduce its operations in the UK and invest in the EU instead to avoid additional paperwork and costs.
“We export to every continent in the world and have done for a period of time, therefore we have employees who are experienced in dealing with exports. The issue with the EU-UK situation is the lack of clarity and preparedness in all areas,” he said.

We all know you're lying. But for someone that was never going to answer me again, your powers of decryption are astounding.Originally posted by swaledale View PostAbsolutely no idea what you have posted, but undoubtedly it will have been misinterpreted, taken out of context or simply plain *******s! Ah the pleasure of not having to read Thicky's inane ramblings.
Never mind contradictory of your rants of what you are or are not doing.
What a cockbadger.

Ithink this blocking/ignoring mullarky is a bit childish and demonstrates why you and your ilk are widely ridiculed. I read all TTR's posts, some I think is *******s, some is of value (and I think the taunting is a bit daft TTR. assuming you are reading this, just IMO), and likewise I read all of yours, mostly to coloured by bitterness and infant-school name calling to be of value but again, some insightful stuff. But I don't get how you can at least get a grasp of what's going on on the other side of the net if you don't look over it. It IS possible to read and move on, or read and respond on relevant issues only, give it a tryOriginally posted by swaledale View PostToss out the bait and Thicky will bite! You must be thick to post stuff I'm not going to read, unless somebody includes your post in a quote!

Hang on, Andy. You don’t exactly approve when there are big bust ups between posters and have been known to lock threads when things have become unpleasant or incurred your disapproval.Originally posted by Andy_Faber View PostIthink this blocking/ignoring mullarky is a bit childish and demonstrates why you and your ilk are widely ridiculed. You’re right, ‘it IS possible to read and move on’, but equally, and certainly on the evidence of this week, it is sometimes easier to just let someone know that you’re ‘done’ with responding to them before things deteriorate into the levels of abuse most of us don’t want to be part of.
That’s how it is with Tricky imo. For example...I probably disagree with Ram59 as much as TTR, but while the former can construct an argument and things only rarely become tetchy between us, the latter - as was aptly demonstrated yesterday - invariably deals in repeated irrelevances before resorting to snide sideswipes and low level abuse.
In an internet forum situation, my way of dealing with that is to say I will no longer be responding. Swale’s is to more overtly announce that the source of annoyance and conflict is ‘on ignore’. Both of us, in our own ways, are attempting to conform to your requirements while maintaining our own sanity. You can’t have it both ways.

...and I agree with your way, frustrating as it must be for you, and I don't agree with Swales'. I also posted a comment to TTR, and the comment relates to name calling, TTR and Swale are equally guilty on that one - or are they?
at least TTR's name calling is in response to something he's read, Swales' is in response to something he HASN'T read - of the two, the latter is the more childish/pathetic/difficult to comprehend (use your own description), its the internet equiv of no-platforming someone, and you can guess how lukewarm my opinion on that tactic isLast edited by Andy_Faber; 12-02-2021, 09:34 AM.
