Entertaining performance from "Holland Light" so far but the krauts seem to be in control sadly

"Holland Heavy" were the cause of their own failure to win IMO. Japan defending and hoping to score on the break, ball circulation tempo way too slow to break down their well drilled defence. Went 1-0 up. On a rare Japanese foray, the Dutch defence laid off and paid the price. Got back in fron and then decided to defend for their lives for the last 20 minutes and paid the price conceding an 89th minute equaliser. A bit like Derby, Oranje has never been known for protecting a lead. Why Koeman went down that route is a mystery.

Yes the senior Dutch team were disappointingly sluggish, lacking "imagination" almost, quite one dimensional. With Sweden thrashing Tunisia this group could be intriguing

Certainly didn’t see that one coming. Shock of the tournament so far?

I consider Cape Verde to be Dutch middling. They have 6 Netherlands born players.

You could probably claim South Africa (again) too, so you have 4 dogs in the race MA.

5 GP. NL, Curacao, CV, SA and good old Ingerlund. Unfortunately none of them will win it.

May well be but there's a lot of CV descendents in the Rotterdam area. Many CV folk went there to work the docks.

Here's a video I found online. It's both cringeworthy and amusing at the same time. Hope you like it, even if inly a little...
