You throw so many accusations around as part of your crusade to discredit anyone who disagrees with you that I?ve long since learned to take little notice.
Desentisize yourself RA. By your own admission, you limit your knowledge to what mainstream media throws at you.
BBC/Guardian etc, do not tell/show the whole story. As I have said before, the internet changed that game a long time ago. Governments love media control and what you know about. Today, everyone has access to the internet and mobile phone with camera.
If you want to be an ostrich thats your perogative, But it doesn't allow you scoff at what other folks find out and want an answer to.

BTW , without said social media, a lot of crimes/ true accounts/ injustices would never get solved or disproven.
Funny how even the authorities can stitch folks up.

    • I am going to post this, even though it will get scoffed.
When the system/ authorities were determined to stitch this guy up. Without social media and evidence , he'd have been jailed and none of us would have thought anything of it.
It seriously makes me wonder, how many people over the years have been left to their own devices and suffered. The press had him nailed, as did the judiciary.
Left to the media, we'd have all just condemned him.

So don't take as gospel everything you read in the press and also be wary of what the press doesn't tell you.
As Farage found out reporting on the French escorting boats over the channel,

Tricky, I’m sure the BBC/Guardian/Independent aren’t faultless and I’ve never claimed that they are, but until you take your own head out of the sand and realise that it is the world’s billionaires that exercise the media control you speak of - the likes of Murdoch, the Lebedevs, Lord Rothermere, the Barclay Brothers and of course Elon Musk (amongst others) - you won’t even begin to recognise the problem.

Was he 17, and therefore a minor, at the time of the attack? Yes he was.

Is it illegal for the police to publish the name, ethnicity, religion etc of a minor? Yes it is.

For what it's worth, given the truth in the 4 lines above this and TTR having mentioned the rumours on "social media" being the cause of the rioting, it's perfectly understandable that the police didn't mention, IF they even knew in the first couple of days, him being radicalised as they KNEW it would lead to riots by the very people who ended up rioting. Any failure to release information will have been bound by 2 things. 1. The Law not allowing that sort of information about a minor to be published and 2. the wish to try to prevent rioting.

So, those getting anti about "not being told the truth" should remember that UK Law prevented any and all personal information being published and that, following the Law, in an attempt to prevent a riot, is exactly what a Government/the Police should do.
still a lot of holes in that MA.
Was he raised a Christian? Maybe, but he obviously has/had converted. It's come out of Belmarsh prison this week, he attends Mosque inside.
So its safe IMO, to assume he was Muslim at the time of the atrocity. So the question remains there, who and where converted him?
Talktv handed a dossier to police on certain Immans promoting death to Jews. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5irQUXb-1A
So when the mosque in Southport was attacked, is it not understandable why they become a target?
I am not supporting the violence that happened there, yet to deny/shift the blame/ cover up the reasons needs answering?

for me, they didn't do enough to damp down the flames of anger and made the situation worse.

Oh I do my friend. I have said before, I trust none, yet listen to all. I do like to see what I can with my own eyes and thats why I watch home video shots (riots. protests etc), that are unedited and the narrative changed by media outlets, to suit their readers.

            • I actually watched that video, TTR. I'm amazed the case ever got to Court. However, we have to remember that the police. prosecutors and judges are human. They will, and do make mistakes. There will be the odd rogue one who simply decides to charge and prosecute someone on the feeble evidence offered here just to make a point or to get ahead in the promotion stakes. That doesn't mean the entire system is corrupt.

Your message appears to be that the entire system IS corrupt. It isn't. Only a small part of it. A part that shouldn't exist, absolutely shouldn't exist but, as long as the process involves people, there will always be the odd case like this one.

                You may be right MA.
My fear though, is the corrupt part of the system, has too much power and influence.

                    • That figure is net migration TTR. Maybe you need to look at the components.

Incoming 1.3m idle backsliding male Muslims looking to do nothing but exploit the benefits system and bring in countless dependent relatives. Probably all planning to start new terrorist cells across the country.

Outgoing. 0.4m white hard working taxpaying Christian chaps and chapesses anxious to escape a country gradually morphing from a multicultural community into a state bound by Sharia Law. Oh and also keen to dodge the upcoming swingeing tax increases under the new government.

                      • SWALE CAN SNORE ALL HE WANTS.

1.3 M people coming into a country, that has not prepared for it, is madness. The pressures imposed on services and the lower end of the living class is immense.

GP, cut the tongue in cheek, When folks talk about an NHS crisis etc, they don't want to include this into the equation.
Its like buying a Ford Fiesta then being asked to shunt around a family of 10 in it. Unworkable, without great pain.

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said: “In the space of four years net migration rose by almost five times to a record high – that shows the serious damage that was done to the immigration system, the lack of proper controls in place, and the over-reliance on a big increase in overseas recruitment.

“Net migration is still four times higher than it was at the beginning of the last parliament and we are clear that it needs to come down.

Net migration revised upwards by 166,000 on previous estimate for 2023 - but believed to have fallen in 2024 due to visa changes

                        • More worrying is the people labour seem to trust with sorting it, a clear example of the fact that UK parliamentary govt is about quantity not quality - first Seema Malhotra who can?t even do simple maths when the answer is given to her by the interviewer, then the dynamic Angela Eagle who?d responses were embarrassingly backward looking. Maybe HMG could make a start on improving the numbers by deporting those two. God help us (remotely though please we don?t need another one on the total)

As will many of us, owing to the fact that, whereas most who comment on politics tend to stick to the two main political threads (Brexit and Election Year) I think I’m correct in saying that five of the last seven threads you’ve started have been direct attacks on Labour Party policy or personnel.

We all know you’ve got a hang up about Muslims, migrants, minorities and the new government, but there is such a thing as overkill.

                              Oh behave yourself.
Most of this falls on Tories. The fudged figures are from their watch. As Cooper states, they are way too high and have been so for ages.
I told you 5 years ago, I was against indescriminate immigration, whilst ignoring the training and prograssion of todays youth.
Labour are talking about getting them into work, but it takes more than threatening their welfare payments.
AND YES, this is a direct result of EU membership, where businesses have been weaned onto cheap , imported labour, tot he detriment of the nation.

Virtually everyone recognises the complexities of immigration along with both the advantages and disadvantages which are not remotely unique to this country.
Not everyone bangs on endlessly about the subject - in tandem with their latest anti new government related conspiracy theories - in over 70% of their posts.
That’s why GP, amongst others, takes the p*ss and Swale snores.
