Not really. Has anyone, on here, accused the Tories of being racist and misogynistic?Originally posted by Andy_Faber View PostImportant or not, Funny how those racist misogynistic Tories appear to have selected a black female to lead them isn’t it?
It’s certainly an accusation that can be made towards certain individuals - not all of them white - but not in general as I recall. They are after all the Party that’s provided three female PM’s and the first non white PM.

Don't worry, Big D is on the case against all those racist flag waving pensioners and the police are above the law(even though they had a trial)

Everyone is racist, racist, racist
Dawn Butler, accused Badenoch of black facing "white supremecy" on twitter
She quoted , Nels Abbey, a London-based Nigerian journalist. It was titled 'Warning: Seven rules for surviving a Kemi Badenoch victory' and listed 'handy tips for surviving the immediate surge of Badenochism (i.e. white supremacy in blackface).'
Surely a sackable offence?Last edited by Trickytreesreds; 03-11-2024, 01:56 PM.

We're doomed. Not as much as American women are if DTs apparent anti women's rights stance transforms into actual policy.Originally posted by Geoff Parkstone View PostThe Donald appears to be in the ascendancy
My predictions for the first 100 days, some of which are shoe ins, especially as it looks like the Reps will have control of both houses as well as having DT in the White House...
Protectionist import tariffs
Withdraw support for Ukraine
Maintain and possibly increase support for Israel
Federal Laws banning abortion
ABC and possibly other media outlets losing their licences
Increase in US fake news
Musk to get lots of NASA contracts for his Spacex company and possibly even a high ranking job in government/NASA
Many, what we'd call, Civil Servants, to lose their jobs and be replaced by Republican voting people

they FAILED ON immigration!!
Lets be clear on that. A lesson that many politicians fail to learn.
[B] Now Harris says she will make it even harder for migrants to seek asylum in the US.
Six out of 10 Americans rate immigration as “very important” in determining how they will vote, according to the Pew Research Center. Other polling suggests voters trust Trump to handle the issue more effectively than Harris.[/B
Too late Harris, IT WAS YOUR MAIN JOB, YOU FAILED.

A prime example as to how stupidity is rife amongst the voting public and that's especially true of the US.
Immigration eh? MM like Trump did anything about it when in power? Personally I'd more than welcome both the UK and US stopping immigration and see the impact on the living standards of the people moaning about it. It would be immensely funny.
But saying immigration was the main issue is a simplification for dumb people to enable dumb people to have something to say. There is a clear trend for people to want to be told stuff they want to hear, it doesn't matter whether its true, achievable or even if they will actually benefit in reality, as long as they think they will thats all that matters.
As for the impact on the Uk and elsewhere, we shall see, I don't' see Trump proceeding with tariffs on the scale postulated, it would hit the US economy just as much. Ukraine will at best forced to accept a ceasefire with the loss of territory, but lets face it EU countries were walking away anyway. Israel will be stronger and now there will be 2 Leaders of Western "democracies" with criminal convictions/charges welcome to the age where being a criminal and openly lying is no bar to success.
The age when Russia, China and India become the dominant world powers is fast approaching!

So Tricky thinks it’s all about immigration. Fancy that…who’d have thought? Seem to remember him saying the same about our own General Election. How did that work out?Originally posted by Trickytreesreds View Postthey FAILED ON immigration!!

In truth I think it’s been about the impact of the economy. Those in the U.S. feel themselves to have been worse off under Biden, conveniently forgetting why they voted Trump out last time around. They’ve put the value of the $ in their pocket above, imo, the safety of the world and elected a criminal as President, but what’s (almost) done is done so we’ll just have to live with it and make the best of things for another five years.

Of course. over 10 million illegals flooding into the USA under Biden was a positive thing, in Swales logical world. Some say it could be closer to 15 million. All those people, bussed all over the country, bankrupting cities and states.
Yet it wasn't an issue to the common man on the street?

Here's a test for you
Please look up the black and hispanic vote decline for the democrats and the switch to the Republicans.
Why?
The very people often at the poorer state of the economy rebelled,
Give it a go, you can do do it, I believe in you.
