There are no words, Sith. This is evil lunacy. He has completely lost whatever plot he once had a grasp of.
All we can do is hope.

See Vance is saying, ?all we want is a world where gas and oil flow freely??. What we had before you started dropping bombs then?

      • 2 week ceasefire which is a start. How much of one remains to be seen. Not seen what the beeb has to say n this but Dutch news outlets appear to be saying that Iranian forces will be policing which boats may use the Strait of Hormuz and, it seems, the 2M passage fee will be levied. Are UK news outlets saying the same?

If so, then Iran has won a huge increase in revenue. Art of the deal? More like any port in a storm in order to get out of the unholy mess he made for himself.

Well yes but actually gas and oil werent flowng freely before Israel / USA launched their attack due to widespread sanctioning of (amongst others) I ranian oil exports. I should imagine Iran will be looking to get the sanctions eased as part of the "peace process" but this is not entirely in Trump's control as EU and various other countries also uphold sanctions. Effectively Iranian oil exports are currenly far from free flowing mainly going to China or India via the dark fleet - as they are one of the biggest global producers it would be interesting to see this oil back on the world market.

          • According to Al Jazeera, the ceasefire agreement looks like this...

Fundamental commitment to non-aggression from the US.
Controlled passage through the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with the Iranian armed forces, which in effect would mean that Iran retains its leverage over the waterway.
An acceptance of Iran’s nuclear enrichment programme.
The lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions and resolutions against Iran.
End of all resolutions against Iran at the International Atomic Energy Agency.
End of all resolutions against Iran the United Nations Security Council.
The withdrawal of US combat forces from all bases in the region.
Full compensation for damages suffered by Iran during the war — to be secured through payments to Iran by ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
The release of all Iranian assets and properties frozen abroad.
The ratification of all these matters in a binding UNSC resolution.

If that's true then the US has been given way more than a bloody nose. Iran gets everything, US gets nothing and the rest of the world pays for it. Nice one Donald... not.

            • Is that the agreement basis or Irans wish list? Seems very much "one way" and can't see anything achieved but USA at all.

Certainly has and I’m just grateful that some degree of sense has prevailed. How long for? Till Trump needs another distraction or till he’s dumped?

All relative GP. Everything working comparatively well and affordably in terms of oil, petrol, diesel, heating oil and LPG prior to Trump’s ill advised cavalry charge.

If they do someone needs to take them out once and for all

The post to which you refer starts off with "according to Al Jazeera"... It is their "reporting" of the content of the agreement. It could be the agreement, it could be Iran's wish list, it could be Al J's best guess.

                        • It seems the Israeli PM/war monger hasn't read the script, its about time he was taken to task for his actions, possibly Trump will lose patience with him? Not that Trump has any patience!

Now its clear that we have a borderline pyschopath and a rather dumb one at that as the US President. When will his fellow citizens get the courage to put a stop to this nonsense before he plunges the world into terminal chaos?

Oh and even if you've booked and paid for your hoilday flights, it seems as I predicted that fuel surcharges are being applied now, but a shortage of jet fuel may create mass cancellations if matters aren't resolved very quickly.

                          • I fear 47 is a lame duck POTUS from the day the non-Reps elected in the midterms take their seats in th 2 houses of Congress... provided he doesn't manufacture a crisis that sees the midterms cancelled. Something I think is quite likely. I mean, it works well for Bibi, in whose case, it's a Genera; Election that doesn't happen.

Once in power the Dems will go after him big time, IMO. If they do, it wouldn't surprise me to see some kind of Civil War break out in the Disunited States.

I don't get how, if TUI for example apply a fuel surcharge, that it can be on the whole package. You can understand the fuel but not the total package.

Its happening in the package industry. My wife's company use another for escorts at times and they tried to add 10% to the whole cost. When an element of the fee is drivers salary etc then it should just be on the cost of fuel not the entire deal imo.

They got told to try again and they did but for Joe Bloggs public if Tui etc choose to do so they can whack 8% on your whole holiday with no comeback. You can't even cancel unless its more.

That is just about how I see it too.

Feels as if the world is being held to ransom by a combination of the deranged POTUS and Netanyahu who has been doing a decent impression of Ming the Merciless for the last three or four years.

Perhaps the completely disastrous scenario regarding the Strait of Hormuz wasn’t entirely predicted by Trump and his cronies, in which case their incompetence as regards military and economic strategy has been frankly astonishing.

More likely, in Netanyahu’s case, he - and his supporters - see an extension of this conflict as a means of justifying further atrocities and postponing his eventual and surely inevitable trial for war crimes.

Has there ever been a time since the end of WWII when our world leaders (the two aforementioned plus Putin) have been so incompetent and unscrupulously lacking in morality?
