  • You may laugh but I actually knew a girl called Emma Royds. She even married into the name knowingly. Used to work for an insurance company in Brighton for those who doubt. Contrary to the above she was a nice person

                    • Maybe not GP, but Trump is and, I wouldn't be surprised to find out he's demented. Have you seen the rant he gave telling the world about the 250 and how he got the Olympics and the "soccer" World Cup for the US and how nobody else could have done it?

His ramblings are just that and they are disjointed as well with many a sentence never getting finished as there's another pile of rubbish that has suddenly become more important than whatever it was he was trying to say half a second earlier...

Well it certainly got attention and laughed about in the election thread when it was about Biden

No, dementia isn't funny. But it is very real and obviously a problem electing very old men into the top job in the world.
After initially stating that he would remain in the race, Biden ultimately withdrew on July 21, 2024; he later endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic presidential nomination. In the weeks and months following Biden's June 2024 debate against Trump, media outlets reported on efforts that had been made to manage and conceal Biden's age and health-related limitations during his presidency.

At the time his term as president ended on January 20, 2025, Biden was 82 years and 2 months old.

Trump isn't far behind him age wise. Whilst in no way as doo lally as Biden was, it is still concerning that this was the best the Yanks could come up with. Still with Harris being the challenger, a chimpanzee could have been in the running

                          • Trump's ramblings are not those of a fully cognitive, rational person. He frequently fails to finish a sentence. He takes an oath in January and when asked, I think it was in March, if he felt he had to honour the oath to uphold the constitution, he said, "I don't know".

Trump is, IMO, suffering dementia and not in real control of himself. Far too dangerous to be POTUS.

                            • I was having a beer with a chap yesterday. He told me he falls for both men and for women. He went on to say that he's not successful with either. I said "so, basically, you're bi-yourself".
