  • Cricket 2025.

Oh dear. Having seen off the mighty Zimbabwe and West Indies in the shortened form we seem to have been predictably found out by the big boys.
I know it’s only the first day of the series but at 359-3 India look like making it a long summer of cricket this year.
Hoping for better things to come but we’ve been outclassed today.

At least wait for both sides to bat on what looks a decent pitch that will take a few days to deteriorate (if at all). India only have one spinner if it does - something they may now regret

As I said, ‘hoping for better things to come’. Weird decision after winning the toss though, given yesterday’s weather and the forecast.

Now I've seen it all 'the falling paddle sweep'!
Bl""dy entertaining, keep it up India!

Certainly entertaining, mac. Pope’s catch was worth the admission money alone. I just fear the best batting conditions were yesterday and India certainly ‘made hay’. Different Headingley today, but no lack of effort and a very good comeback.

41-7 puts an interesting perspective on it... Conditions shifting??

I hadn’t realised he was another victim of MND, GP. Horrible disease claims another lovely man. Can only echo your sentiments.

A career scuppered by injury and to then get such a horrible desease, just unfair.
                  RIP

Yep. You were right. Good Test. Good comeback. Untypically poor Indian fielding. The last session may determine a lot.

Who needs another spinner when you've got Bumrah?

                            Wow…just wow!

I’m currently grateful for air con. in the incredibly hot Dordogne and have only just caught up, but that is one hell of an impressive result. Wise old Mr. Parkstone was right, bless him…and my ticket for the Old Trafford Test next month suddenly seems much more appealing. Brilliant comeback after what looked to be a lost cause after day one.

A side containing 5 individual century makers have never lost a test match... until yesterday.
