A number of posters on the DBF think that the new stadium at Campy Nou is the way forward and it will be a great success for Dundee Football Club.

It might be but there's zero evidence to back that assertion up ......especially Linda led

Our current stadium isn't fit for purpose, those in charge feel a new stadium is the answer.
The yanks have provided stability to a normally unstable club.
          It's hardly surprising.

Likely it would be - but right now there's no stadium and we haven't even seen a planning application in principle (which will be rejected out of principle by the way)

If it goes ahead, it will be a great success.

Those that spring to mind in engurland with varying degrees of success failure.

                  Sunderland ....fans not keen
Derby........similar to Sunderland but got into financial bother.
                  Darlington ......oops
Arsenal.....Arsene Wenger " we built a ground but left our soul at Highbury"....this is what I think of re campus Nelmsy.
                  Mk dons......fail
                  Coventry......as above
                  Cardiff......no sure
West ham .....as a fan I'd think fail
Portsmouth......never built but years of imminent didn't happen
                  S****horpe.....success
                  Yeovil...no sure
                  Wycombe ...no sure
                  Walsall......don't know
                  Millwall......think success
                  Huddersfield.....not popular
                  Bolton, stoke,, Crawley......good and bad
                  Reading.....fail.

                  In Scotland

                  Falkirk....meh
                  St M......pretty successful
St j......past success.....bit out the way now

And how wud you measure successful move for Dundee

FPS making money would be success for them but for the football club?

Increased crowds? .....no guarantee......gut feeling is they would increase initially but revert to type and possibly decrease midweek.

Financial stability.......how do we know what the arrangements will be with FPS or future owners of stadium/campus.

                    Silverware?

Folk spending half an hour in a brew hall?

                    What makes a successful move?

We have been over this type of discussion for years. I can't see any supporting business coming in to generate non football based revenue. Crematorium was the St J way. Don't see much talk about that at all.
Was there not a Burnley tie up mentioned. Think this might be the way ahead. Not with our neighbours mind, but some shared ownership might be worthwhile examining.

Success for me would be a ground for gor purpose we nae jungle, trolleys, wee huts, hoses in the vicinity.
A proper pitch like other clubs and facilities fit for men, women and kids.
Hopefully up the fan base due to better facilities and possibly a create a better atmosphere at the games.
Without the young team dens is like a library.
Mibbe even get that elusive cup run we are more hostile crowd.

Might get a pitch, can't be any worse.
                            Facilities......most arnae that interested
Atmosphere.....not a lot wrong with dens
Cup run......you mean finals, fans don't attend the run bit
