  • Celtic at home. 17th Dec

Well if ever there was a chance to beat Celtic it?s now 🙏

I don?t know what we do tactically but if we turn up and play the way we can we have a great opportunity

Assuming the 343 is kept I?d say the same team as Saturday

    Come on United 🙏🙏🙏

Did you notice that at the final whistle yesterday the new Celtic coach just stood frozen on his own for about ten minutes. He didn't gather the players around him to console them. Interesting that McGregor didn't either. Never seen that before.

They're a fragile club and a fragile side at this time. Can we raise our game to get a result and heap misery on them? The stats would say it's unlikely but you never know.

At a loose end for a couple of hours so making use of it.

If Goodwin partners Moller with Sapsford for this he can f@#k right off and f@#k off some more. I will be raging because it'll mean more useless high punts up to Moller and more lost possession.

It's tailor made for Dolcek Sapsford and Fatah to run at those flat footed centre backs.
Hearts did it, St Mirren did it and it paid dividends both times.
If we don't do it I'm afraid it will confirm Goodwin doesn't know what he's doing.

As far as I'm concerned Goodwin can GTF. The situation with the goalkeepers is brutal. When he took over he saw we were having issues with goalies. To replicate the same situation is on him.

Babunski last season, Dolcek and Traps this season. Attacking wise he is clueless. Competition for places is what pushes performances. How SCH has never got a start in this shambolic defence is a mystery. Stirton has more about him than Moller but never gets action. You could say Goodwin prefers foreigners so what is the point of young players signing for United? On that point and the keepers he can phuck off, sooner the better imo.

I've made my opinions of his technical coaching ability well known here and elsewhere. He's clearly unable to coach fluid progressive possession based forward play.

That said, perhaps surprisingly, I remain supportive for now due to the credit in the bank for the overall job he's done in successfully rebuilding teams twice and possibly a 3rd time given this season is far from over.

But if he opts to start Moller and Sapsford on Wednesday night that's going to test my blood pressure.

On the subject of the signings I have to defend Goodwin and the club.

We are Dundee United, we have limited pull and a limited budget. You just need to look at Glasgow 2 or even across the road to see how bad recruitment can be.
And it's too early to write off all this season's signings, there's still plenty time for some to come good.
The keeper maybe aye maybe no, without watching a keeper week in week out it's easy to get hoodwinked by a video reel.

I do fully agree though that SCH should have been starting when our back 3 went walkabout. That's just wrong.

And Stirton is definitely ahead of Moller for me so we're agreed on that.

It was a big ask to sign an entire new team and to hope that they would all be decent and would gel. For me, Jim Goodwin can have another transfer window to try and sort it out. I think that a new keeper and someone creative and we could be back track. Football is a fickle sport and the only thing that matters is wins...so his first priority is to start getting some wins on the board because not winning is an easy habit to get into. That coupled with the fact that our fanbase have PTSD from the previous managers, means we are more easily spooked when we see previous issues returning! Just sonehow win a couple of games before the year is out and we will be much more relaxed!

                    JG has built 3 squads.

Recruitment has been good on the whole

Camara, Sapsford and Fatah are all quality players to get for little or no fees

Championship champions and Premiership 4th place

Overall he is definitely in credit for me

As others have said a couple of wins and if we start defending better that will help us all feel more positive

Pacific shelftic are a club at rock bottom

The players and fhans all want to lose because they want the manager sacked after 3 games and 3 defeats. They are sitting there saying, “ we’re wanting tae get pumped…. c’mon pump us please”

Lost a cup final to Aberdeen

Pumped by Borat, Dundee, St Murm, and the jambos twice . If you can’t beat them then suhins seriously wrong.

I suppose it will be wary of the ‘wounded animal.’ Stop speculating on how they are or there problems! Just go out there and play and leave everything on the pitch. C’mon united!

                            Totally agree

Wont ever get a better time to play them and if we go at them from the start it can very quickly them toxic for them .

                              Sobering stat

United have not beaten Celtic in any competition since a league win in December 2014, a run of 23 games.
