Of course maybe there is the ambition to buy relevant players, but maybe the better players are looking in and thinking they dont want to be involved with the current JG process and negative.

If he wants to make money....then he has to provide entertainment for the fans! There is a balance to be had between being a successful owner and providing a sellable product on the park. I think if we were producing sellable assets....then we would be playing good football to try and showcase them!

Exactly. What I'm seeing is gung-ho recruitment of players that they thought they could make a quick buck out of. Kucherenko a sweeper keeper who punches the ball into his net more often than not. Eskesen was out of the picture at his last club because he downed tools, yet we sign him. Bring back the days when we sign players who are doing a good job at their current clubs in the here and now. Scouting may have changed in not seeing them in the flesh but imagine handing out a contract to Odada. An eye for a player, phuck it must be a glass eye.Originally posted by geofoxposse View PostOf course maybe there is the ambition to buy relevant players, but maybe the better players are looking in and thinking they dont want to be involved with the current JG process and negative.

Couldn't agree more. This fixation with three centre-halves every game is predictable and awful imo. See when you play a flat back four it gives you more options in midfield and upfront. None of this getting overrun in midfield. Strain actually hit the byeline and provided a different cross than from twenty yards back and Moller scored a goal. That scoring goals for us is more important than being sh!t scared of the opposition all the time. As a fan it isn't easy on the eye and damn right boring.Originally posted by weegiearab View PostIf he wants to make money....then he has to provide entertainment for the fans! I am not totally against the formation thing IF we get the players in that suits that formation. We clearly don't have them..and this window is suggesting that we aren't getting them! So if we haven't got the players, then maybe we need to play to a formation that suits our players! So it is either, get new players, try a different formation or get a different manager! It is madness to think that somehow we are going to become a great team without something changing.

Seemingly a couple of clubs interested in taking Eskesen off our hands. I didn't realise we were looking to offload him.
Also seeing that we have signed Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Agyei, a 21 year old.
Owen Stirton away on loan to Airdrie - I thought I read that we weren't going to be sending players on loan of they were on the fringes of the first team?Last edited by PT_Arab; 03-02-2026, 08:14 AM.

It?s hard to get excited about the transfer window now. Due to our financial status we are bringing in unknown quantities.
At the start of the season it looked like it worked but then all of a sudden players like dolcek and watters feel of a cliff and our defence was in bits.
Now we are looking to off load kess.
IMO it looks like the team is over coached and the players can?t think for themselves. You see it time and time again when the obvious run.
I hope the 3 players brought in will make a difference but time will tell. 🤞

It's the new loan arrangement thing whereby he can still play for us at anytimeOriginally posted by PT_Arab View PostSeemingly a couple of clubs interested in taking Eskesen off our hands. I didn't realise we were looking to offload him.

Football has gone nuts. Just do transfers throughout the season and have transfer deadline day as before. All this loaning youngsters out, just bring back the reserve league, more improvement by playing amongst our senior players coming back from injury or on the fringes of the first team.
Richards will be let go in the summer. We will hopefully sign a keeper on a one year deal that will push MB and hopefully dislodge him. Competition for places is how you get good performances individually and collectively. If that new keeper doesn't dislodge MB we let him go and sign another keeper with the exact same goal. Having Richards as a No.2 meant Kucherenko could get away with anything and still be a stick-on for the next game.
