  • Hearts home Sunday

Well they are all big games and this another massive challenge, we will be missing Ferry for second suspension game and the injury list is ever longer. Hearts will be turbocharged for this one. I cannot predict team, it will depend on fitness and Goodwin may rest a couple for Thursday.

A full Tannadice will generate another great atmosphere and hopefully inspire the players

Maybe a chance for a youngster or two to shine. A draw will be a good result and a win outstanding

Give Bert a rest, hope others make it back.

I have absolutely no expectation of a result here, but if we loose, just not by too much! Thursday is infinitely more important and there are 36 more games to recover!

Not the opponent I would have chosen between the Rapid games but it is what it is. A different animal to the Hearts of last season.

I think Goodwin will ask the players individually how they're feeling, get the conditioning guys to assess them and decide from there who starts.

I think Dave Richards might make a surprise start, and Sam Cleall Harding will come in for one of the back 3. Ferry suspended so we have no fullbacks. What a sh1tshow.

I think Stirton could start with Sapsford/Watters 45 each.
Dolcek will start and could be very important for us in this game. If Naamo and or Fatah are fit they can definitely make a difference because we are so stretched already it's ridiculous.

      Keeper - either
      CleallHarding Iovu Keresztes
      Sevelj Dolcek Sibbaldi Camara Kai
      .....Stirtonaldo Sapsford

Who knows, but the Vienna heroes will get a big welcome.

In what world is Kai Fotheringham a LWB?

Normally that's a change you'd make it you're pushing for a goal nearer the end. Not sure I'd start like that but we are stretched and I think most fans would accept we prioritise Thursday...

I hear what your saying Terry, but id resist the urge to sacrifice league results regardless of how big Thursday night is. It's a dangerous path to tread and I've seen too many poor starts continue in the league. League safety still has to be our main objective I'm afraid. By all means take some key players off later in the game if we are either too far in front to be caught or too far behind to matter, but for me we have to start our strongest team available. Having said that,I dont think we'd be necessarily weakened by bringing in big Sam for either Bert or Yuri and Stirton in for Max.

Hearts pressed Aberdeen really well on Monday and their no10 Braga is the sort of annoying player who will be loved by Hearts but hated by the opposition fans.Make no mistake they will come flying out the traps at us and my first thought was why did we not request a postponement after we knocked out Strassen?.

Its easy to say i'm using the benefit of hindsight but we all knew we were already missing over half a team when we played in Luxembourg.I'm sure Aberdeen who have only played 1 game to our 4 up to now have cancelled our match with them because they are playing in europe.

Maybe i'm being harsh but i also thought Hearts were very physical v the Sheep and that's the last thing we need to be involved in before a massive game v Rapid.

Forget most of the above, you can only postpone if its a play off game and obviously Aberdeen only come in at the play off stage.Well we will just have to get on with it but i agree with ADS we have to go as strong as possible and Ogren if you read this if you want to make millions you need to invest more in the squad and other players should have been in the door before the european horse has FN bolted.

Opened up now - I’d be quick though.

There are a good few teams that have suffered in the league due to Euro commitments, depends on what the priority is???
Ours, I think, should be the league. (top six)

In saying that, I'm luvin' the European tour, but wondering what would happen if we actually made the group stages.

We are stretched enough already, and early injuries are begining to have an impact on the team early doors.

Maybe the Euro exploits might open a wallet or two for a wee bit more back-up (just in case) depends I suppose what bills have to be paid.

In saying that... it has been a great start to the season, well done abody.

The problem we'll have (and it's a good problem I suppose) is that if we get as far as the groups,we'll only have 3 days left before the window closes to get those extra bodies in. Personally I think we should gamble if we get through on Thursday and beef the squad up some more before the play off.

The alternative is a back 4 with Keresztes there and I don't think Goodwin will do that.
I'd be asking Kai just to patrol the area out on our left and deny space to Braga who caused the Sheep massive problems last week.

Regarding starting the Vienna 11 it could go either way. We could win on Sunday and run out of steam on Thursday. Win both games or lose both games. But we're chasing a ?5-6 million reward with Group Qualification and it would raise the club profile.
In the end I'll go with what the gaffer believes is right.

If we want wing backs then Miller T. He?s quite fast and has played there before

I?d like to see Kai and Miller getting a chance

We could also bring in Sam C-H to give others a rest

                            Come on United !!!
