See what would be good a forward pairing of a Daly/Goodwillie Daly/Russell combination. Two forwards to occupy the opponents central defenders. These days at Tannadice and away from home these defenders get too easy a ride from us.

Michael Forbes, 22 years old, a left centre-half, left back is supposedly signing for us. Northern Ireland international and recently released by West Ham. Sounds a lot like David Partridge, might we have a centre-half with a bit of dig and a bit of pace? Still need a 30 plus age centre-half to marshal the backline. I wonder what the chances of further caps for him would be like as Michael O'Neill is building a NI team with a lot of youth in it just now that is getting plenty of plaudits.

I quite like the idea of the keeper to be the competition for Walton to be older than him. It has been mentioned we are looking at Sinclair of St Johnstone who at twenty-five has not played that much football. Played on loan at St Mirren at the end of last season who are also after him.

If Sinclair is looking to play I doubt he’ll come to us. Time will tell I suppose.
