Archaeologists have suggested that when the pitch finally dries out in August it may reveal a lost civilisation ⛈

Nah you’ve got me confused with that eejit Noah , I do remember all the jokes and photoshop posts with rowing boats and swans in a flooded Tannadice , and a poster on here claiming it was because Tannadice was under sea level , so an awful waterlogged pitch is something United did manage to do first

In 1963 a once in a century spring tide went back out and left Tannadice covered in sand, that's why we're nicknamed Arabs.
You guys though have no excuses for that midden you're playing on occasionally 😁

Ah happy days the return of my auld sparring partner notsobrightOriginally posted by notso View PostNah you’ve got me confused with that eejit Noah , I do remember all the jokes and photoshop posts with rowing boats and swans in a flooded Tannadice , and a poster on here claiming it was because Tannadice was under sea level , so an awful waterlogged pitch is something United did manage to do first
We can argue the toss all day about historic pitches at Dens or Tannadice but i remember that beautiful surface at Dens which was perfect for players like Sturrock,Payne,Bannon and Milne to run riot on and run riot they did.
The reason i am giving the Dees stick this season regarding the current pitch is Nelms knew last summer there was a problem with the drainage but rather than spend money on rectifying it he decided it was better to spend money on videos, surveyors, solicitors, brochure's and drawings of the new stadium whilst completely neglecting the current shytehole he is running.
What's the point in bringing in EPL loan players if the loyal Dee supporters have to go away to see them?.

And ironically it has eventually cost the fun much more money with the postponements that have happened than if they'd just sorted it out last summer.Originally posted by GUNBOAT View PostAh happy days the return of my auld sparring partner notsobright

Over £500K this season alone apparently. Never mind working on it last season, all it needed was basic maintenance over the years, like any sports surface. Compete neglect.Originally posted by TerryTheTerror View PostAnd ironically it has eventually cost the fun much more money with the postponements that have happened than if they'd just sorted it out last summer.

According to my mole the FIRST pitch inspection was held at Dens today and its so far so good. The Dees have dipped into the loan market again and have borrowed covers for the pitch from Celtic.I trust my mole implicitly but i do find it strange Celtic could actually be helping The Rangers to get a game played next midweek.

Borrowing pitch covers😂😂what an absolute minter of a club🤣🤣......That £500k they've lost could have got them new covers, the steps leading up to the Derry fixed, the jungle at the back cut and a decent burial for the Dens Park fox.....OTF.Originally posted by GUNBOAT View PostAccording to my mole the FIRST pitch inspection was held at Dens today and its so far so good. The Dees have dipped into the loan market again and have borrowed covers for the pitch from Celtic.I trust my mole implicitly but i do find it strange Celtic could actually be helping The Rangers to get a game played next midweek.
